Thought about posting this in the funny pic thread in chat. 10yo daughter had to help with a difficult drawer slide today.

When’s the best time to plant a tree?

When’s the second best time?

Now.

When’s the best time to get a set of snow chains after a few years of ice/snow driving/sliding?

On a beautiful summer day. 😁

Rear sway bar acting right now. Longer links and fresh bushings. Not pictured, I finally fixed the rear bumper flashers. No more left, right, left blink.

Looks like a great/growing event. Be sure to let us know how it goes and don't try to follow Lee (or maybe do, but have someone filming ;) ).
Haha! I’ve been warned not to follow him too closely! I’ll be attending with a few other members of the club so I’ll provider an AAR when we get back.

Last week on our way to Clemson, my wife and I camped at our favorite "illegal" camping spot in the Toxaway Game Lands. I was surprised to see the gate at the Horsepen River open. Looking at the map I thought I could take that trail all the way to Musterground Road. I did a lot winching and chopping to move trees off the trail. 3 hours worth of work only to find the gate at the state line closed. It was a lot of work to only turn around.

Does anyone know if that gate ever gets open all the way through? I read something about September 15th for Musterground but I'm sure about the gate at the NC/SC line.

Got turned around by that same gate all the way back in 2006 from what we could gather then it was permanently closed.

Just for fun there was a time you could drive all the way through and some of the river crossing had no bridges over them 😎

I built a new DIY trail jack last weekend that uses a 8k lb trailer jack stand as the base. It was pretty easy to weld up from the kit I bought.

And it weighs about the same as a 48" Hi-lift. Certainly safer to operate and is a little bit more compact.

Rode HC yesterday in the LX450 with a 5 yo navigator and some non-Cruisers. Had a good time with the slick but not too muddy route. Finished the ride with hot chocolate on Max Patch.

Sacrilege to some I’m sure, but I simply could no longer stand the combination of green and gray together on my LX. Especially in light of the fact that I’m about to put bronze wheels on it. So I shot the factory gray on the flares and cladding in the factory green. Now the flares look nice enough that it’s driving me crazy not to paint the rest of the truck. My only comfort is knowing that I’m going to scratch the crap of them all year. I do like the results of a single color vehicle. Haven’t wet sanded or clear coated yet. Not sure that I’m even going to bother. The rest of the truck is so scratched, It makes it look two-tone.🤣🤣🤣
