Trying like hell to get my rear drive shaft in. The slip yoke won't compress. Wondering if my buddy put too much grease in the splines. Then was fighting it and dropped it on my face. Freaking awesome!

Found this on CL and went I got it. Hardly used $100.

Take the grease zirk off and compress it. It should compress and squirt the extra out of the hole. Technically it should not have to be done but I guess yours is clogged with old grease. Personally I'd mark it, pull it apart, clean all the old s*** out, clean the female end where the cap screws on and regrease it with moly.

I meant to post this yesterday...

Yesterday was the seven year anniversary of being diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer and being given a year to live. Well, I guess they were wrong. My 80 was with me through the whole thing. Taking me to and from every chemotherapy treatment. Without it and the wonderful people of MUD that helped me keep her running along the way I wouldn't be here. Thanks. No greater group of humans.

Congrats bud. My grandmother was given 6mos when she was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer. We were able to have another 20yrs with her. Here's to you, your family, and a long, long life.

The old optima red top that was in my truck from the PO gave out finally. I replaced it with a new battery and voila! My windows roll up faster! Nice unexpected win :)

Also started my new project to replace the seat foam on the cheap. And started contemplating the sequoia alternator upgrade. I have all the parts, just need to prioritize that particular project.

He cleaned it out. He said it was pretty nasty. I'm guessing he just put too much grease in. I'm going to take the zirk off and compress it. It doesn't need much grease in there to stay lubed.

It's Friday so it's the weekend... Everyday is a weekend for me.

I set my 80 on fire. I shoulda rolled it down the hill as well. Just kidding. Burning the insulation off is really the best way to remove it....

Changed the engine oil and filter after 1 year and 5000 miles.
I used the Mityvac at first to see how much it can take out, then oil pan drain. I got about 1qt out from the drain plug. :(
About 8 qts of old oil came out. I had the big oil filter on it.

Christmas came early this weekend!

Will be great to retire those old saggy springs and shocks. Now I just need to figure out how to put them on! Between the FSM, Slee write up, and you guys of course....I should have all the info to at least attempt it!

Why am I still having a hard time believing this isn't the boyfriend just trying to get all of his questions answered first and by everyone? And that Jen has no idea all her gorgeous pics are ending up on some Land Cruiser forum. Ha!

Great job Jen you will love the new suspension, I feel like it even drives better on the road with the OME than the old floppy springs.
