Which charcoal canister did you go with? I see it was made in USA.

Went with the AC Delco 215-75

Got it off Amazon, think it was like $49 shipped to my door in HI. I didn't install the lower bracket and it felt pretty snug with just the top one tightened down. I put on a longer bolt with a nylock nut.

Aloha!! Thanks for the info. I know orher folks have used various non toyota canisters but I have my reservations about using non OEM here in Cali.

I put new shoes on Shrek (as I've come to call her). Painted stock wheels & LT255/85r16 Cooper ST Maxx ATs.

Now I have the painted center caps and grill to go with the new shoes...

OEM version is not longer available and does not contain fairly dust. I'm in CA and had no issue with the GM canister for smog check....twice.

Did you install the Delco 215-75? My concern was for the visual part of the emissions testing.

They don't look for matching OEM numbers. It just needs a physical canister with the connections intact.

I replaced all the belts yesterday, factory for the main belts and just a dayco for A/C. The belts that were on there were way streched out and looked like they were ready to fail. I also ordered the seat gear parts to hopefully fix my passenger seat next weekend.

Halfway through the PHH, heater valve and the three top hose replacements. 120k and they all looked original. That lower bolt on the down tube, what an SOB.... its not going back in that's for sure. I guess I will attach some thin rubber over the bracket so it won't rub through the paint or rattle.

Which way is the fluid flow through the heater valve driver to passenger?

Yes driver to passenger. Comes out of block up through phh then up tube to heater valve
