Installed competition springs 4" rear 5" front.
Yea, no road hazard. It is an 80psi tire. I'm going to BFG dealer tomorrow to see if I can make a case for manufacture defect but im not holding out much hope.

I performed a mid-week oil change. seems I learn something every time I change the oil in my attempt to be able to do this in my (clean) work clothes. this time it's the plastic bag filter grab, an adaptation from walking my dog in the city and having to use a plastic bag for No 2. I used two plastic grocery bags when unscrewing the filter and any residual oil spilled into the bag(s). white glove oil change, for once
used plastic bag to remove filter - any spillage stayed in the bag.

That's my favorite method!
It would a really clean white glove oil change if you use one of those vacuum oil pump.
A busy weekend:
Added puddle lights
Washed the LX
Clay bar'd the LX
Applied fantastic water beading sealant/wax stuff
Grabbed a switch from the Pick-N-Pull and now have a CDL switch to relabel.
Discovered that the lights in my arb were rusted out garbage.
So....
Looking for LED DRL options to fit the ARB.
New bulbs for the headlights because they are pitiful.
And, I need to do the pin 7 mod
Also need to find a moderate place to test out the rig.

Took the leap with a hole saw and installed the ebay snorkel. My template was just barely off, pretty easy install.
What lights did you use for the doors?
available all over eBay, etc. I picked up these from a seller in TX and a red pair from China. Both arrived within a day of each other. Waterproof, and low profile.

Did you just tap into the factory door light in each door for power & ground?

@Qball I considered that but when I get hose attachments, connections, etc. involved it's usually a messier operation for me

Haven't tried it on the LC yet but the dipstick tube looks like what was on my 1KZ-TE 4runner.. and I got the Pela oil pump suction tube stuck and destroyed trying to do a vacuum change on that. I don't think these engines were designed for it.. unlike most european vehicles.
That gives me an idea. I got a 8L vacuum oil extraction pump and a Fumoto valve.
I want to see if how much oil is left in the pan after the pump does it's job.
Yes. I trimmed just enough insulation off the door light wires to solder in the LED and then sealed everything up with electrical tape. No actual cutting of the wires.
I have 2 more for the rear tailgate but need to research where to tap into power back there.

That's what I figured for the LX. Any suggestions on how to approach getting wires in and out of that area? Eventually I want to add lights to upper (lift gate?) and lower (tailgate).
I have not messed with the headliner yet so am not super familiar with that area.
Here's a trick I figured out changing the oil on my wife's old Subaru Legacy, if the filter sits vertical (I'm not sure how they are oriented on a 1FZ, I've never actually seen one in person), you can use a plastic beer cup/solo cup. Break the seal with your hand to get it moving, then use the solo cup over the filter like a glove, and drips go into the cup, nice and tidy!
That's one thing that's always confused me about the 1KZ-TE & 1HD-T engines I've had, the oil filter is on the side facing down at nearly a 45 degree angle, it's gonna get messy no matter how you do it.

Thanks @IanB, I'll try that. I think it's the same on the 1FZ. great for installing a *new* filter, but removal of the used not so much. I saw somewhere on 'Mud someone had a filter guard near or under the oil filter, I can't remember so clearly, but it looked like a 1FZ. maybe JDM part.
