Busy last weekend. Finished repairing a vent louver, prepped and painted all interior parts including all door panels. Repaired all door panels with some liquid CA, stuff is awesome for the door panel boards. Last thing my youngest picked out new decals for the "Beast"... LOL. We call them tats and you cannot just have one.

did you run the new hose all the way to the res and pump? or did you splice in the middle of the hard lines?

Removed the hard lines completely. Its all heavy truck hydraulic hose now. I have plenty of additional hose because one of these freaking years I'll actually finish the P/S res. mod I have planned and I'll redo the hoses again. Zero issues thus far.

i have the derale, it came with some hose, but where do I get the trick stuff you used?

Depends which stuff you are talking about. The fittings are AeroQuip as is the hose. The reservoir/filter is Appleton and the filter itself is the same small Toyota OEM filter used for the engine oil. Only thing preventing this from being done is the bracket that needs to be designed and welded onto the res.

Got the first half of the landtank seat mod done in the passenger seat. Painted the brackets after all the grinding. Reassembly tomorrow. Hopefully all goes back together correctly.

Tedious. I was nervous about messing it up. Used a Dremel for alot of it. I hope it goes back together. I tried to smooth the runs the best I could. I would say if was definetly a little more difficult than I predicted. Doesn't help the drilling the first spot weld I broke off a bit. Sucked.

Why ask? Guys like you and I will never need it.

Not sure where you're going with this but uh.... ;)

1. Need to know for those that are looking to do the same and are fence sitters for my Fire Extinguisher Mount.
2. I'm thinking of doing myself because I'm just under 6'1"
3. I may wind up doing because I'm making a locking lid for the FEM and I'd like to actually be able to use my own product :p

yikes.

Yea that was the worst part. Other than that probably not too bad for folks with more comfort with cutting and grinding. I have done some but just nervous when it's not reversible. However instructions are fairly simple to follow. The rollers are going to suck, but That appears to be a common theme.

I was mistaken, then. On with the "tech".
