Finally finished the wiring

Got to drive onto a car which was very fun. It crawled right up with no effort.

It's what happens when customers can't pay their invoice.

I need to light up the fireplace and catch up on the newest episodes of Joey's Heat. I heard there have been some new parts in the mix...

Started prep work for an upcoming spring trip out west.

My ARB bumper has bugged me since day one. When i first mounted it, i didn't use the proper spacers, plus it was missing three bolts!! Not safe if i'm dragging the big 80 out of a mud hole.

So i removed the ARB only to snap off one bolt and then one of the captured nuts inside the frame snapped off. So, i got all new bolts, welded in the captured nut (talk about lucky!! good thing it was the one in the front) and then chased all the other mounting nuts so they were nice and smooth.

Then, i removed the winch controller box from up in front of the radiator and mounted inside the bumper. I think it turned out pretty sweet.

I would post up photos but in typical mud fashion it says "error uploading" .......

Pictures of the new welded on nut that snapped off!! Thank goodness it was the one in front!

Washed it(thanks mother nature). Also drove it to the carpool spot.
Bruiser doesn't do mileage.

Now that's a ******* Land Cruiser. I still haven't forgotten about that pig feed sack :)

Took my son snowboarding again. It was 46 degrees so the "road" to our secret spot was super muddy. My bone stock 80 rolling on 31" BFG ATs (with 33k on the treads no less) handled it like a champ.

And today I rolled up to my school and there is a stock 80 parked across the street! Never seen it before. So naturally I stopped and was scoping it out. The owner came out of the house and we chatted. It's a 94, Beige Metallic (same color as mine), with 245k on the clock. We got to chatting a little bit more and I asked if it is for sale. He said he would think about it. He just bought it because it is "so cool" but it sucks gas. He paid $800 for it. Offered him $1000. He said he wants to sleep on it. It runs and sounded good. Minor surface rust on the rear passenger doors. It'd be perfect for my almost 14 year old son so he doesn't try to steal my 80! Give him a couple of years to work on it.

A month ago I was saying how I never see any 80s in my town... :)

new thermostat, all new lines and coolant to. also new 31-10.5-15 MT tires. now I need to rebuild the front end =/ real tired of the "click click click" every time I turn under power!

Doesn't have anything to do with the weekend but...
