Had some stock FJC steel wheels laying around. Finally got around to painting them, tried metallic silver but changed it a smoked gray (looks like chassis gray) for a retro look. They will be going on the 80 soon

Last night I finally got around to installing a set of 100 series visors I found at the pick n pull over a year ago. To install you will need to sand down the pivot shaft in order to fit in the 80 series thingy that mounts it to the roof. Also the hanger holder thing needs to be sanded a bit to hold the visor properly. Maybe the 100 series hanger holder thing would work but I failed to get it when I pulled the visors. At the moment the mirror light is not working due to a exposed piece of metal on the visor shaft that was grounding out and blowing the fuse. Don't know why it is exposed but it is. I never use the light so I am not worried.

Any more pics? I literally just ordered the Rosen visors today :-/
I didn't take any when I was installing them but here are more after shots. Looks pretty stock. I like the vinyl better than the cloth that now feels like velcro from age.

Fancy slide.

Part that needs to be skinnier to fit in the stock mount. 100 series is a triangle mount that doesn't work.

Hanger dookicky that needs to be modified to accept the thicker round thing.

With the Rosen, what did you do with the catch next to the rear view mirror? It is not needed with the Rosen and if you remove it, it just leaves an empty hole right? I guess leaving it it fine or pulling it and running the screw back in the hole.

where did you go? i don't recognize the trail...

I like the comentary too... :D
Is that Haspin?
I ran that part of the trail... ATV with a passenger tried to pass me, he got stuck and almost rolled his ATV into my truck. Very annoying!

Williams, Gothodgie, Yeah I was at Haspin. Luckily when I was there there weren't too many people. besides the two jeeps in the picture, we only saw one other vehicle wheeling. the rest were dirtbikes and quads. None of them got too close except for a modded cherokee that believed throttle was the best way to attack a hill. I found it kind of funny because both the 80 and my dad's rubicon took the hill with little effort. I may go back out there this next weekend. it might be a zoo and I need to replace my u-joints.

Took my little brother to the cabin. Cruised a bunch of old mine and logging roads. The big event - taught the kid to drive. His first time ever driving was in an 80 series in 4Lo crawling up a trail. Had a few close calls almost tagging trees when wasn't turning the wheel enough but we made it without any damage! And... the gas/brake only using 1 foot was confusing to him.

Gave the old girl a bath and wax. Put on some cooper discoverer st maxx 315's a couple weeks ago too.

Ya that's the plan. Had my trip to shaver lake area cancelled this week so I figured I'd wash off the dirt from last trip.

Cruisin off road transfer case skid plate. The stock plate is a joke and all my bolts were mangled. This design doesn't stop the issue of mangled bolt heads but holy hell this this is stout, beautiful and took longer to unwrap than it was to install.

Even tough the 80s were the era of acid washed attire I finally had to fix the failed paint on the hood.
