After experimenting with 1st and 3rd row seats only in order to provide maximum cargo space and seating for 4 in a pinch (plus ample legroom for back passengers), I decided to switch and try 1st and 2nd, since not having a solid storage setup I'm worried my boxes go airborne in case of impact. My quality control assistant oversaw everything as usual..

after removal of left 3rd row seat, plenty of room, but all cargo floating in the back

left 2nd row seat checks out..

Corgis are great supervisors... Can't wait to add one to my family again. :D

Thanks! It's FJ40 Dune Beige.
Here's a link to the build thread with more info on the paint.

Thanks - will def check out the build. I love that color. If I stick with my current FZJ80 for the long haul I would def consider repainting Dune Beige. Also I kind of like the tires on that setup - it looks a bit more serious overlander than crawler, not to mention less unsprung weight.

Yeah this is my second Corgi - his name's Bandit - and he's a great companion. Always game, and with is "lower gearing" he's a lot easier to exercise than other herding breeds, esp living in NYC

We went camping and had a little fun flexing the beast...

Changed the in-tank pre filter as the last part of Jon Held's baseline list. Looks like the original filter and seems like it was time for a change. It was still flowing, but pretty restricted to blow thru. The inside of the tank looked nice and clean from what I could see thru the access hole.

Also ran 1/2 a can of SeaFoam through the intake. Figured I'd try it out as I had a can sitting on the shelf.

Put my front sway bar back on after running without it for about 8 years.

Finished installing my Redarc BMS1215S2. Still have to decide if I want to drill holes to mount it on the console or make a bracket to go to the factory bolt holes. Installed my rear lights on Franks brackets.

13 trucks from our group went north to the JOA (Japan Offroad Association) Festival last weekend and while we were laying the tape for the extreme course one of the test vehicles dumped over. He is a guy from our group and the truck is a very nice HDJ81 5spd GX. He was planning on selling it next month....might end up being a good deal for the buyer if you don't mind some minor...ahem....body damage. We pulled the intake and all was normal and had him up and running shortly...

^^^^^^ how the he'll that guy flop his rig right there. I am assuming went too far left up the bank....but why it was waaaaaay wide enough there. ??? Bad driver?

Free this weekend but no plans yet, want to go to big bear but all the campsites are full.

Anyone wheeling anywhere? Thinking about running Mojave road solo since it probably will be a lot of people out.

Make sure you have a spare. Lots of spiky rocks along the trails looking to slash some sidewall. It's a very fun road but requires barely any technical skill. Stop by the lava tubes at the beginning.

Thanks! I got my super skinny spare, and since running solo won't be attempt anything crazy. Definitely gonna hit up the lava tubes.

This way I will actually do something with the cruiser beside tinkering with it.:)
