Been to Hollister many times. For the most part an 80 will handle the west side of the park. Once you cross to the "new" black diamond area....i haven't been there yet and everytime i am there i never see any LC's!!!!

I am assuming after you paid the entrance fee and headed up the highway to the 4x4 park this was on the left side, not the right where the little school building is?

Yup that's right. I really had no clue where we were, but after paying the fee we drove up the road a bit. The guys I went with pointed out some new obstacles courses which were beyond extreme, I could barely walk through them! Hollister is a neat park, everything from mild to wild!

Got a Weathertech cargo liner in the mail. I Wasn't a huge fan of the floppy lip at the front of the liner, so I trimmed it down and secured it under the chrome plate at the leading edge of the cargo area. Looks way cleaner.

Replaced all 4 tie rod ends. Only took about 3 hours which surprised me- I was expecting a longer fight to get them off.

Also put new ujoints on the front drive shaft and put it back on. It's nice having 4wd back.

But I noticed an oil leak that appears to be the lower pan seal dripping. Know what I'm replacing next weekend off.

Put a TJM front bumper on, 4x4labs winch ready rear, and 38.5 boggers on. Needless to say my gas mileage shot the bucket! Pics: how it looked when I first bought it to how it sits today.

It was time for the annual spring PM:

- torque to specs all front suspension and brake hardware (F+R)
- checked all pads/rotors
- found a loose wheel bearing, fixed
- changed out the windshield squirter with Dorman units
- found a voltage drain in the driver seat switch circuit - disconnected it for now. Not sure what to do with that one.
- swapped out the AT tires for the MT tires.
- adjusted parking brakes
- tightened up all diff 3rd member nuts
- engine oil + filter
- ATF swap
- dropped small oil pan and re-sealed.
- lubed both DS
- washed the Toyota air filter

Still have more stuff to do next weekend.

Is that a home made barrier? That thing is nice.

That cargo liner turned out good! I didn't like the way that rear lip dug into the carpet on my tailgate, I'd likely do the same as you have next time around.

Cool, do they mae them without the holes for the third row seat? Im kinds doubting it?

Great shots as always from you. What lens, filters, camera, etc are you using. You seem to like the mud, despite you being on i hate mud often.
Thanks! I'm using a Nikon D90 with a Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 lens. No filters, aside from a clear UV filter for protection. Most of the "look" comes from post processing. I use a technique called Exposure Fusion.

And about the Mud, what can I say. It's a love/hate relationship

They come with a raised outline where those holes can be cut out like he has done, but they are solid across the entire bottom. If you want holes for the tie down points or 3rd row seats you have to cut them out yourself.
