I cleaned out the garage all day to prepare for my next projects. Does that count?

Definitely. Prep is an important part of the job!!

Your pics are always great J. Makes me feel better, I am not the only one who got stuck in the snow on the weekend!

who makes the armor on that 4runer?

Thanks :) I thought getting stuck was a given when snow wheeling. After all, that's when the fun really starts

who makes the armor on that 4runer?

Can't remember where he bought the front bumper, but all the rest is custom-made by a local shop.

Snow wheeling is blast, but can make for a long slow day of wet and cold. Had a similar day few months ago.

Since I recently finished rebuilding the engine a few weeks ago I found some time to go out and get her a little muddy this weekend on some logging trails. Didn't take pictures though since everyone knows what a stock LC looks like haha.

Or you end up in this situation.....

Headed out in a few hours to try and recover him.
Whoa that sucks! I was getting a little worried when we were stuck. We were at a point where all 3 of us where stuck and had about an hour of daylight left. I brought gear to stay the night just in case, and I was committed to the fact we'd be sleeping in our cars!

The 100-series LC was the worst since he didn't have a winch. Any effort to pull or winch him out just got us stuck. We finally had to use the Hilift and jack up each rear tire individually, dig out the snow and fill the cavity with rocks and logs. Had to do that 3 times to free him as nothing else was helping. Slow process but it worked!

I had to use my winch extended with 3 recovery straps connected to pull myself out of the rut and back on the road. A winch is no good if you have nowhere to connect it to!

 Good luck on the recovery. I never snow solo.
Yeah definitely. I had actually considered going alone a few weeks ago. Good thing I didn't. I would have been in serious trouble. Like the saying goes "Two is one, one is NONE"!!!

Yep, it can get narlly fast. one guy has already picked up the owner from his hotel and also got a few hundred feet of extra line. My self and others staged to go all have 9000-12000lb winches and 100ft each of line. its about 6-8 hours drive from here so we are in for a long night.

Took off the factory roof rack in prep for throwing a con ferr up there. Cali truck + PB blaster + luck = no spun nutcerts. Tend to the bit of rust (the only rust i've seen on my whole truck), plug the holes with button screws and i'm set. A lot easier than i could have been.

You're a hell-of a dude to make that trek. Good luck.

Went on a trip to Mt Rainier today and had a great time In the snow with the wife's kids and in-laws. Now I am trying to track down a leak into the drivers floor board area. I have a known leak around the rear driver corner or the sunroof, don't believe it to be connected. Any thoughts?

Filled her up, replaced the hood struts (got tired of using that 2x4 to keep it up), and tried lubing the birfs to subside the crunching... to no avail. I really can't wait to dig into my axle rebuild! Birfs, kit, rotors, and pads ordered, just need a free weekend.

Oh... And I ordered my 17" fj steelies!
