Drove the 80 almost all the way across the country and by back for the second time in 4 months. Once again she did great.
Not quite across the whole country but I’ve driven my 80 series from Ohio to that point 4 times already.

Ran Slick Rock this weekend and saw several other 80s out there. Trail is really gnarly this year. Lots of dirt is gone which makes the rocks even bigger.

Every trail I have Run this year seems to be harder !
My guess is there getting used more = torn up, harder.

Yeah definitely. Lots of traffic means the trail is constantly changing. That first video I posted of the "Gauntlet", this is what it looked like in 2018. Almost unrecognizable at this point.

Another angle of the Staircase showing how deep the hole is at the bottom!

First thing i would do is carefully run a tap for the original thread pitch through the threads and see if you can repair them.

This happened to me and i either fixed it with the original tap or ended up drilling and tapping it one size up. I can't remember.
Similar story here. I ran a thread restorer and it worked. It is less of a problem now I don’t run with 2nd row seats anymore.

I installed BIG brakes

Also, became a victim of targeted advertisement, and bought a Wolfbox dash/back up cam thingymabob
How do you like it? Someone gifted me one, and I haven't got around to installing it yet. Did you tap in to the reverse? Easy install? Mine is a cheaper brand, but good reviews.

So, it is 98% installed, only need to tap into reverse and tidy up the wiring in the quarter panel. Install was easy and I used the Delta arm thingy. I also have a fuse box in the cab that has ACC and always on power, so that helped with the wiring. Besides that, it is just the regular annoyance of running wires away from view.
During the day, the screen is reflective enough that you can just turn it off and use it as a regular mirror. As far as using the rear camera feed as a rear view POV, Ill just have to get used to it.

Quality of the videos are great. Main dash cam is 4k, rear one is 2.5k and the extra one (I installed on the front bumper) is 1080p.

Oh, between the size being much larger than the stock mirror, and the combo of delta arm + their #1 generic mounting, the whole thing gets closer to your face, so that will be another thing to get used to.

Notice a big difference? I have a LSPV delete/Wilwood prop valve waiting for me to install to see if the brakes can impress me anymore.
