Nice, that Uwharrie mud will definitely test your treads! You are there with the Relic Run group this weekend? I was there last year for Relic with my 80, but couldn't make the commitment this year as I'm going to hit GSMTR for the first time this summer.
I actually went Wednesday. Didn’t know anything about the ride this weekend. I need to keep an eye out for stuff with people wheeling their 80s. Would love to see some other 80s in action.

Did do the "non" Relic Run this weekend. First time this 80 has been on a ride.

Suspension installed last sat, fresh birfs/seals sun, locker and a new #2 injector went in Tues night (wow 3FEs with 6 cylinders firing are not bad..), brake pads/shoes Thurs. Long week!

But was worth it to have no issues.

I'm probably going to use Raptor. I'll eventually line the whole truck, but I'm not ready for that project.
IMO the Monstaliner has a smother finish. Won't grind you like sand paper. A sponge slides over it easily but is super durable. I few friends/ members did there hole 80 with it really held up to rock crawling abuse but looks more like paint then Raptor.
And you can roll it or spray it.

I’ve been digging deep. This initially started as a faulty injector plug……

Washability is something I hadn't considered. That's actually really important on the roof, because I'm going to reinstall my rack. The two things that had me leaning to Raptor were a) the ability to create a matte finish by manipulating the spray pattern, and b) the second picture here.

I don't want different textures, so whatever goes on the roof will go everywhere else, just in two stages.

Having just washed mine I would say it's smother then both of those pictures. I would say that that Monstaliner in the second picture was not installed correctly.
I also just did the finders on my car trailer, both jobs I rolled they both look smother. The instructions say if you spray it come out smother.
If you want I can get you pictures of my roof tomorrow

Sure, if you think of it.

To be clear, it's not the texture I don't like in that picture - it's the giant scratch.

Thinking out loud.

I got an LX450 in decent shape without an engine I bought for cheap.

The plan has always been v8 swap it, make it a sleeper and mostly street Cruiser.

I can however buy a 1FZFE coil pack complete engine that’s in my shop for fairly cheap. It needs a light rebuild at the minimum.

So trying to decide on v8 with an auto or turbo’ed coil pack 1FZFE with a manual transmission. 🤔

Cheers
Whoa! I'd go with option two. Impressive what they do with the 1FZFE in the middle east. V8s are almost common now...unless you means v8 toyota diesel!

Popped up to Dublin, GA to see @slow95z and pick up a truckload of parts for new '95 project. No room for my camping gear with all the parts but I did head up into NC for some wheeling to get her dirty. Very impressed with my mileage on the trip - 3 full tank fill ups - 15.8mpg, 15.1mpg & 15.6mpg. Not bad on 315's although I stick mainly to back roads where I can drive as slow as I think.
