What do you do with it, anyway? Sew it on your Bon Jovi jean jacket?

You're not a real overlander unless you have a bunch of patches stuck to your headliner

So far all I've established is I'm a real pain in my gf's ass

My plan is to cover my headliner in patches to hide its flaws... I need to collect a lot of them due to the s***tyness of my headliner...

It’s crazy how clear a brand new windshield is and they had it in stock. Now to find a dash pad

Well, scratch that! After thinking the "upper half" of my interior was certainly tan to match the oak, it is not! It's light grey! Odd combo for sure but after some searching I guess it's common. I sold the tan LS430 visors and snagged some overseas new grey visors in vinyl. February delivery.

Ordered an OEM power steering pump along with new high and low pressure hoses to address an unusual high-pitched whine from my engine bay, which I suspect is due to the aftermarket power steering pump on my recently acquired 1995. Using a stethoscope, I think I've pinpointed the noise to this area.

Even after removing the belts, the whine persists, which suggests the power steering pump is the culprit as it’s gear-driven from the crankshaft. I suppose the gear driving the pump from the crank could be the culprit--let's hope not.

There’s definitely a high-pressure hose leak, and the reservoir flow appears odd with the cap off, although the steering remains effortless and the whine is consistent, not more labored when turning the wheel. I find that odd. I’m really hoping this fixes the issue. I'll post pictures of the installation process.

Additionally, I'll be resealing the oil pump cover housing and replacing the crankshaft seal while I'm at it. If anyone has any input or thoughts, please share! I didn’t want to start a separate thread for this.

The power steering pump can be removed/replaced without disassembling the front of the engine (fan, belts etc), so no reason to reseal oil pump or replace front crank seal at this time unless they are really leaking and now is when you have the time to do it.

Yep. They're leaking. All 3 80's I've had were when I snagged them. Not a bad job if you have the right JIS bits. PH3 bits work pretty well too.
