Front regeared (5.29's) and 3rd reinstalled. Onto the rear. It looks wayyy heavier. 🙃

Fresh LSX going in!

The original L92 that @Stoshu installed a few years ago put 60+k miles on the odometer, but it’s getting tired. It leaks oil, it burns oil, has a valvetrain tick, and requires premium fuel.

My travels this year take me to remote parts of Canada, hauling a trailer, so I decided to rebuild the engine with lower compression, designed for 87 or worse octane. One thing led to another, and I ended up with a 9:1 compression LSX376 crate motor.

It’s crazy how clear a brand new windshield is and they had it in stock. Now to find a dash padView attachment 3810925
I drove my Cruiser for 10 years with a 26 year old leaking windshield and a star right in the driver's field of view. It was freaky how clear and clean the glass was after it was replaced. Night time driving was a bit unnerving because the field of view was so clear and felt more like I was on a motorcycle but no wind in the face.

I figure this filter has seen about 15,000 gallons of fuel and was about due. Access was easy with the brake booster and MC out, and the hose is part of my campaign to replace all plastic and rubber under the hood and at the wheels.

Best if all, I didn't start yet another fire in Southern California.

T,

Well since we hardly ever get snow in Alabama we went for a ride.

4x4 Labs bumpers are pretty stout. Volvo was found to be 100% at fault. If you don’t have a dash cam, get one.

Hopefully the insurance doesn't declares it "totaled"
I’m not too worried about it. I can bring back to a 10ft appearance if they go that route.
Sucks to see two classics damaged, but at least yours seems to have gotten away with a lot less headache. Frame ist still straight?
That was my thought. I drove the other driver home, he has 5 assorted 240 sedans and wagons in his herd. He is looking to make this one a driver again.

My frame looks okay by eye and body gaps.
