Yeah, well. I don’t need to be anywhere near a mountain lion. A bobcat caught on the trail cam in my yard (or on the green of the 10th hole of the golf course here, for that matter…) is enough.
That would be this fellow... climbing over and walking along the neighbor's fence late this afternoon.

I replaced my rear light bar. The previous one had some intermittent issues. Every cheap Amazon light bar that I've installed gets a coating of silicone around the end caps to prevent water intrusion. This bar and many like it fail soon after install due to moisture.

BTW, I've had this light bar setup for years and it's perfect for setting up camp in the dark or for just backing up in a tight spot.

Old picture. New one looks the same.

Continuing the 80&LX-in-the-desert-outside-Phoenix weekend series. Yesterday’s trail ride didn’t qualify because I rode the K5 on its first outing in 10 months. Today was just a short jaunt in Bulldog Canyon while the short ribs for dinner finished in the oven.

I’ve finally set all 3 GMRS radios under my license to use DCS on channel 7, works well for us. The 80 currently has the mobile Baofeng 50W unit. Claudia doesn’t like the tactile feel of the HTs, but the mic for the mobile is ok. So I’ll start looking for a mobile unit for the LX. Undecided on location. The radio in the 80 is behind the center console on a custom mounting plate, but the LX has stuff there. I’m also still undecided on the final solution for a GMRS antenna, currently using a mag mount that works well but is susceptible to tree branches. Not in a rush, though, we’ll see.

You will need spacers if you want to correct the incorrect backspace of the GX wheels.
I know I have no contact at full lock either direction... do I need to correct the offset if it's clearing? or will it be an issue during articulation? or is there something I'm missing? (serious question, I know that can come off flippant)

I have only ever had an issue with back spacing on an IFS and clearance with the spindle...
