If you value cash on a petty investments. Again, I don’t see the value. Even if it was worth a million dollars in 10 years, it’s just cash.

Its not seen as an investment. Few cars are. Its seen as a way to enjoy a vehicle and not lose, or not lose substantially.

It will need almost nothing to be driven for a year, maybe 2 and then sold. If the miles are kept low enough it can be sold for its current price if not more.

A 12k land cruiser is going to need thousands is baseline work and is likely not in a condition a collector wants when it comes to their use. Hell i paid 22k for mine and it needed a ton of work simply because it was RHD and diesel.

Project “winter fan clutch” for the S/C’ed ‘93. Current blue clutch with ~65g 50k fluid keeps the engine cool throughout the AZ summer, but makes the belts bark, and puts a strain on power. So, new blue clutch, filled with 40g of 25k silicone oil, 1FZ-FE fan with a spacer from the late Tools R Us. TYC radiator, new set of belts. Trail ride yesterday, ambient temps in the low 70s; engine temps via a Koso gage reading from the head coolant outlet were 172 to 184F. Belts are quiet. Truck feels a lot more lively, but probably still too cool, as the thermostat is barely open.

All that open space and it looks nice and warm. I would stroll closer to that mountain and climb it.

I see Four Peaks from the house here every day. I thought about a hike up Brown’s Peak - the highest peak at the left of the formation, at 7657ft. Parking lot is at 5750ft. Supposedly there’s some rock scrambling needed, and perhaps a rope would be helpful, don’t know, these are interweb tidbits. My real issue is that there are black bears and cats - mountain lions - up there.

Everything you just mentioned is all the more reason to go up there and explore it. 😁

Love those chrome door handles!

What is your lift under the 100?
It's called a KwikLift. Company stopped producing them due to steel costs but they can be found cheap enough on FBM.

Yeah, well. I don’t need to be anywhere near a mountain lion. A bobcat caught on the trail cam in my yard (or on the green of the 10th hole of the golf course here, for that matter…) is enough.

Ofer, Most people don’t understand the logic of the best structurally engineered mass manufactured vehicle ever designed…. By any car manufacturer in the late 20th century.

This is coming from someone who built one and destroyed it and spends all of his professional time now rebuilding and maintaining these relics of another time.
