Picked up my roof rack from my brothers shop. He changed the mounting locations so that I could fit my hella 500ff, added a new mounting location for my awning and added a custom touch panel to the side. Gonna try and wore these guys up this next weekend. If you’re local to Sacramento these guys do great custom work big and small! Let me know if you’re interested.

I take mine off the road in the winter. I did go out in the Tundra though.

A little while ago when working on brake swapping out the soft brake lines, I did not look where I was pointing my propane torch, and I pretty much burned through one of the wires going out to the ABS sensor that lives inside of the knuckle. (passenger front)

Can I just pull that section of wiring, create a new wire harness for that part and call it good?

3 day snow storm offroad trip to Israeli Syrian border

We decided to go just when it started to snow, knowing that Israeli police will close the roads before the snow and the ice and spend the night at the USSR bullied Syrian army headquarters that was taken in the 1967 war.

a small fire pit and a warm tent with my espresso maker is all needed

@BILT4ME A nasty habit from too many years in army tents I really need to bring an ashtray but I forget. There is no fire in the cigarette butts when they are deposited in the shoe for safe keeping until the morning

Was able to get the A/C compressor off of it's mounts and rotate it so I could access the snapring from the wheel well, only to discover that the largest snapring pliers the local auto parts store had in stock were too small

Will see what is around town tomorrow.

I always thought land cruisers were big. But compared to modern offerings the 80 isn't that big.

Took the ole 80 out to Windrock park in Tennessee this weekend. Was quite a bit icy and was lucky to have the lockers. We made it all the way up to Caryville Flats!

Got lucky and happened to be in Blue Ridge, GA for some light snow action.

Did a little boating.
