And you would be correct. Except it’s not with Toyota e-lockers nor ARB air lockers. It’s with Eaton (Or Harrop) magnetic clutch lockers using the factory dial. So much satisfaction.
The biggest hurdle is just converting the Eaton’s positive switching to Toyota’s ground switching to keep things consistent so you can use the dial.
More info to come including a potential “mostly” plug-in harness.

Nice work and very interested…… I put in the OEM locker switch, the two lights + sockets behind dash for locker lights……..now need the “mostly”plug-in harness from Wits End…..

The ARB tabs are intended to be used with the ARB highlift adapter. As stated above, they are 100% NOT recovery points. Attempt to use them as such and you may be recovering in hospital (or feeding the worms).
And what I added is also reinforced in the back with a large plate to spread the load - don't want the nuts ripping through the relatively thin ARB steel in that area.

Wrapped up installing my 2.5 Dobinson lift. Arms, panhards ect. Pretty pumped. Still got a ton of stuff on order/waiting. Pics next to my dad's 3rd gen runner. 37s dwarf 315s ): My 80 will never be that cool lol. Gonna test it out this weekend with some buddies!

Surprised me too - The LC is about the same size as my GX460.
Funny that this would come up twice in a few days. I’ve seen them bent up from people using them as recovery points and they always looked dangerously weak to me. I couldn’t believe that they would design them so poorly. That’s why I had the 1” reinforcements welded onto mine. I’ve also seen people use the shipping tie-down points as recovery points - also scary.
Reading the replies to my post set me straight.
Interior space is much more usable too due to the drastically different safety regulations of the time. The 80 is about as close to perfect size as you'll find imo.
Yup ... That and the fact you can't remove the 3rd row from the GX460, which seems like a massive oversight for those of us who don't have to take a gaggle of kids to soccer practice.
If you mean the negative switching for the dash lamps, transistor switches are simple enough.
Here's my interface for an ARB setup. Pins 2 & 9 are the outputs for the diff-lock lamps.
It's pretty much plug-n-play, I can't seem to find a picture of the prototype though.
With the CDL unlocked, only the compressor is active.

What about adding 2 reinforcement plates on each side of the lifting point and welding them altogether?

Put a stereo in it. Between the land cruiser and my 66 I've been driving with a blue tooth speaker on the dash for almost 3 months. I forgot how nice a stereo is.
Strangely enough my speakers all stopped working this weekend after installing a light bar and rocker switch...so I'll be diving into stereo stuff this weekend. My lack of quality sounding tunes while LandCruising is something I've been putting off for far too long.
If you look back a couple of pages I posted a pic of mine. I had 1” steel plate welded onto mine to beef it up.
Mines imported and still had an aftermarket Japanese head unit. So it didn't pick up us stations and I don't own cd's lol
It's best if you run a solid peice through the ARB and tie it to the frame at the bolt points. Finish by welding on both front and back of the ARB face. @NLXTACY did this year's back and a great example...
