Getting ready to rebuild the knuckles, replace the birfields and tie rods:

While I’m waiting on UPS to bring my parts from cruiser outfitters today, I decided to get ready for the tear down.

Starting with upgraded stands and jack for safety's sake..

Set the parking break and used the chucks. Put her up and pulled the tires.

I started this morning. Worked for about 6 hours and a little over half way.

I have been wanting to upgrade my headlights for years. I just didn’t want to add all the wiring and switches for auxiliary lights. While on FB founda fella in SLC that builds what you want using Depot housings so I ordered up a bling build. They are really amazing!! The brights are like having a light cannon on the front of the truck.

Was it these guys?

Also, do you have a night shot with the low and high beams on?

Thanks!

Who made them and how much?

Long overdue rebuild on the PS (I alternate and just do the outer on the other side mid-cycle to keep up with preload).

Finally replaced a broken hub stud from not being careful torquing during a previous rebuild. The cone washer stayed in for years so I didn’t worry too much about it, but good to have done and upgraded on both sides. A little hub bling doesn’t hurt either.

And I’d never extended my brake lines so got that done as well. A lot more maintenance on the docket after a decade of being rode hard and put away wet.

What’s really cool is that one of my sons did the hub studs and brake lines and another helped with the rebuild. Passing it all down as they work on their own rigs. Got 5 built Toyota’s in the stable now.

I see hub stud kits in the future..

How much? If you don't mind me asking.

Santa got me a radiator a water pump, a fan clutch, a thermostat, an alternator, and lots of tools! Pics to follow.
