That's good to hear. Mostly like to get to awesome camp spots but doing the occasional wheeling trail is fun too. I'm moving from Utah to B'ham so the riding will be a little different for sure.
Yes the riding will be different for sure but there is some really awesome trails here. I think Alabama gets a bad wrap. Yes there are some dump rednecks here but that's hardly what most people are like. Most people are very friendly and will go out of their way to help, the southern hospitality thing is real. I went to the University of Alabama and many of the guys I met from different places in the country loved it here and it was mainly because how friendly everyone is.

In Birmingham you're 5 hours from the beach and 4 hours from awesome mountains. As far as camping with campgrounds some of my favorite places are DeSoto State Park, Cloudland Canyon, and Cheaha State Park. All of those places have great hiking, water falls, and overlooks. I love Chattanooga, there's a lot to do there and it's only 3 hours from Birmingham. For more technical trails there's Stoney lonsome, HolleyTree (Huntsville), and we just rode at a really cool spot called Choccolocco. Feel free to reach out to me when you get to town and we can get together.

You can order the vent from the JLR dealership and they come in various colors depending on whatever "special" edition they spit out. It's for sure from a 2011 Range Rover Sport Autobiography as I used to own one, but there's another vent style they use for the pedestrian models as they all come with that side vent. I'm not sure it was all that functional on the RRS to be quite honest. For a pair of those plastic vent pieces I'm guessing you can buy a few of those made in japan big can oil filters.

Help... my current gas consumption has gotten worse... I used to run around 5.8 mpg (2.5 kilometers per liter) but now after removing my cats... and after correct timing was done (finally), I'm down to 3.5mpg... (1.5 kilometers / liter)... So bad.. :( What do I do next? :(

My turn to shine? :p

My twin cats are finally off...good thing i removed it in time before the particles break down further into smaller pieces and screw up my muffler...

Not the right thread, would recommend moving to the tech area. On the topic, Your mileage was terribly wrong before, unless you’re towing 5000lbs.

I’d start a separate thread. 8mpg is the lowest I’ve seen and I enjoyed it. But 3.5? Wow!

Replaced worn out bushings and some routine maintenance.

I finally got around to installing my SDHQ battery terminals. The new negative terminal was provided with the inboard connection. I had bought a 6 gauge grounding cable from Autozone to replace the grounding cable from the terminal to the fender.

We'll be in the market for an LX (100 series) for my wife's daily, in the future.

The 100 is a lot more comfortable and roomier than the 80 series. We have a 2007 and it is the nicest vehicle we have ever owned. With that said, I won't sell my 80 series until I am too old to get in and out of it. It really fits my style of wheeling.

Exactly what we're thinking. An LX470 would be great for the family, on a daily basis. The 80 is pretty much a trail/camping rig, at this point. My LS gets driven 100 miles, 4 days a week, and the comfort is unbelievable.
