New rear diff actuator, CB radio and 4’ firestik, 7pin mod. Came across a nifty set of instructions and bolt torque settings on the rear diff actuator from AISIN that I thought I would post up for others to benefit. One pic is the whole 2pg document. The other two are pic of each page.

Spent the last two weeks on the road from Atlanta to Moab, Rimrocker Trail to Montrose, then to Aspen for 4 days, and then to Fort Collins for a couple nights. Clocked over 4,300 miles, crossed the 295k mark and had a blast. Only issue with the 80 was the starter died. Had contacts but the issue was wiring in the core. Luckily I had a second core in the box of crap I carry around so other than having to do the job twice, all worked out.

Damn good trip!

@LandCruiserPhil ok I’ll check it out. What’s the advantage of the vacuum bleeder? This is bleeder I was looking at getting. 0101 Round Universal Bleeder

That is a pressure bleeder. I also agree, vacuum bleader is very nice solo. Also allows you to top off fluid at the same time it is bleeding, hands free. Just did inlaws truck yesterday. Also use it to suck out most of the old fluid from the master, then top with fresh before starting. This one connects to shop air.

I made myself a torque adapter out of an old socket and wrench so I could easily recheck knuckle stud torque. The adapter has to be 90* from the torque wrench to be accurate.

There are days like today when I do a little bit of work on the cruiser and then on my way up to the store I realize that all I really want to do is drive the Land Cruiser. It doesn’t really matter where. I just want to drive one.

So I drove one of them. Then gave Miss Sara a bath.

Removed the now crunchy running boards and replaced all of the vacuum hoses thanks to the hose kit from @NLXTACY . Was going to tackle the front seal/oil pump seal/distributor seal but couldn't find anyone that would rent a big enough torque wrench so had to order one. Oh darn, sucks buying more tools...

My twin cats are finally off...good thing i removed it in time before the particles break down further into smaller pieces and screw up my muffler...

Did a little plumbing and wiring. Finally got my OBA sorted with a remote pressure switch and installed a check valve. Also got my ARB/Anderson power cord installed. And finally, got the Kicker pocket sub mounted because I used the factory sub space for my compressor. Just a bunch of little tasks that I’ve been trying to finish for months.

Hey Jason! Been way too long man! Got the 80 back in January, prepping for a Rubicon trip next summer. This was a shakedown cruise for that trip. Want to come along?
