It looks like your using good tools, I am sure that helps speed the job up. Those snap on hammers are very well designed
I stay with snap-on with everything possible. The hammer is perfect. Once you break an extension taking out a bolt and bust your knuckles, you buy snap-on and never look back. Mr. T should’ve had them in our tool pouches.

Digging the leveling system...
Keep it stupid simple, this is how I level my rig also. Although I have found that it is better to park in such a manner that you have to put your front tires on rocks to get level so as to avoid increasing the height required to climb in and out of the tailgate. It gives a new meaning to "Rock Crawling".

Hammer is really well designed. The chamber is filled with steel shot instead of lead, which will clump and become imbalanced within the head, and is allowed to travel completely from end to end due to a strong "chamber". Others are split due to lack of rigidity and the shot only travels half the distance.

Installed winch, bumper still in progress...:hmm: I under estimate every job, but I guess maybe I wouldn’t take them on if I knew what I was getting into. *edit: bumper was run over last weekend too, with no ill effects

Put it to good use guiding the 79’ into its new home, older brother is now taking the garage spot for reassembly. ok, I can’t possibly estimate this job...

The monkeys can’t stay out of the new jungle gym:steer:

Picked up my UZJ100 replacement a week ago (1993 with front and rear lockers). So far, replaced horn with Hella twins, new KM3 255/85/16 tires, new Magnaflow muffler, and installing OME lift as soon as it gets here today, and oh yeah a buff and wax job...

Nice work!! I didn't realize how much space you lose using sliders. Might not look like much but it adds up.

Thanks! Yeah I went with sliders rated for 250 lbs so they were 3/4" thick. About 3" width wise of lost space from them. I also considered the option of 100 lb sliders at 1/2" thick or the UHMV stuff some people used but I wanted to go the heavy-duty route. Almost feel like I gained more room being able to use the area over the wheel wells since they're covered by the side wings now

Went to butcher jones with my dad and some friends. My old man bought a jeep 🙄 and wouldn’t you know it, the 4x stopped working, huh. Well, it wasn’t rough for the 80 or the 4runner, but my old man was kinda freaking out as he was sideways on a big hill. Used my voodoo snatch strap to pull him to safety. Very nice snatch strap fyi, made in America and made in AZ!!!

Caught some big blue catfish(5-7#, both pregnant so tossed em back) and some white bass(little stripped fish) and had a great time. Dui checkpoint on the way back, luckily I don’t drink.

Replaced the windshield wipers before the rain. Ordered windshield sprayers and a replacement DS front exterior door handle. Fixed a jiggly mirror with some epoxy that I know need to get of the mirror glass. Bought a tow strap at Harbor Frieght at a Memorial Day discount.

The 80 just sat and watched from inside the garage. No go to get out of town, but it did give me a chance to add the solar to the teardrop along with starting the rework of the galley. Pulled the stove/oven combo and will be adding drawers and a slide out for the new stove.
