Well it isn't the weekend, but I took mine fishing today. One thing I like about this time of year is having enough snow on the ground to put the fish on ice before heading home. Not that it really matters, the trip is 10 minutes from the house on a busy day:meh:

Also, unlike fire apparatus, you will never have to worry about what local bridge can take the weight of your 80, ha!

Checked them out online last night, informative site, and they have brackets with slides for many models. I'm 5'7 and about 175, should be a good fit. Wife is smaller. Thought they were overpriced at first, then realized the price was for the pair. Not bad considering good seat covers are $300+. Love big bolsters for G's or in the case of an 80' side to side bounce and off camber gravity. Pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger once all my basic fixes are covered. Thanks for the reply.

The 26' Uhaul towed the 80 like it wasn't even there, pretty impressed with how easy the drive was. Except for Vail Pass and up to the Eisenhower Tunnel, that was to the rugs, redline, and 30 mph. I expected that though!

How'd that trailer handle the weight? I've got to get one back to the glorious South. Wasn't impressed with the tires on the Penske version. What vehicle did you tell them you had? What was your top speed?

We ended up with a solid 18" of snow yesterday. Took the 80 out for a spin around dark and had a good old time. The KM2s work fine in the snow, but might as well be slicks on a freshly plowed road.
 
Went out to Northwest Arkansas. Not much wheeling but a lot of biking. Oh and also got robbed ($20/night to camp)

Alright, finally back to the same place I was a week ago. There are couple of lessons I learned that might make the next guys life easier. The number one thing is to let the letter paint fully cure before you try to tape it off. At least 4 days. I am going with 6, just to be safe.

If you do mess it up, don't try to sand it down with anything more aggressive than 400 grit. I got through the chrome and you could see where the plastic wore down faster and there were divots in it. I would just use a citrus stripper and Scotchbrite pads to go after my target areas only if I could do it again. I built it back up with high build primer and spot putty and got it back to pretty good. The last A has a bit of crud in the outer lower corner, but other than that, this will be nice.

Thanks, but I am going with this one. I am fairly confident that I can make this look good. I prefer the layout of the badging on the '93-'94. :)

I am also replacing the rear sombrero with one of @bhicks "TEQ" plates to cover the two holes in the lower part of the lift gate. I also got rid of the "full time 4WD" badge and don't plan on replacing it. The paint is really nice under them but I used a little heat, some goof off, a plastic scraper and some rags to get all of the old residue off without marring the paint at all and the panels buffed out very well with a light touch on the orbital polisher and some medium polishing compound.
