It was45 degrees (downright balmy!) earlier this week. So the 93 alternator gave up. Just in time for it to drop to -5F. Awesome. I’ll be changing the alternator in the freezing cold this weekend! SAWEET!

25 years and 349k miles. Mr. T should be ashamed!

You can't wait for the next heatwave? Might be coming end of next week. But I said screw it and bought a ticket to Thailand until spring has sprung up here in Minneapolis.

We get those temps here too. 45C. What's the big deal?

Getting ready to replace my rear belt mouldings. Had a bit of moisture in both 1/4's after our recent rainstorm.

Also, found a vehicle that has the same crappy range as our 80's do. Of course, 485HP will get you to that next gas station a hell of a lot faster than the 1FZFE.

When your alternator goes and it’s -7F windchill. You figure out a way to get home. Spare battery to the rescue. And bastardizing the dual battery system...

Typical preweekend stuff; changed the oil in the engine, diffs, and transfer case, drain and fill the transmission. Had the tires balanced and rotated. Ready to dive into the dual battery install tomorrow.

starting in on a oil pump gasket/crank seal replacement .....used a plastic church advertisement sign to protect rad area, fit nice with a Lil' mod....kept my focus on not filling up the $ cuss jar ...got 30mm 3/4" socket after 1pm ish today and used starter bump method, ezy sqeezy.

Got all seven PH #3's out like a boss, Milwaukee (Home Depot ;)) M12 impact saved the day with the hammer trick to loosen Philips.

While Im in there going to put in a new thermostat and all rad hoses since easy access and going to flush antifreeze like a bad chimichanga and possibly fan clutch silicone as well

There were four 80s in one spot today in Cedar Rapids. I don’t think this has ever happened before! Two were mine, one was @Dudleyfj40 and the fourth was some dude I didn’t get to talk to. Weird!

I know in some parts of the country this is an every day thing but not here.

That's true but it still sucks when it happens to you... especially when it's minus plenty outside..:p

Just got back from Mammoth. Must have seen 10 80s, but couldn't quite catch up with @DirtScaresMe . Countless 200s, 100's.
