Wow. 13 Land Cruisers were used to keep up with a Mitsubishi Montero.

Washed the 93. There had to be at least 150lbs of ice crammed in her bumper. Had to lay down and power wash it to get the chunks to come out. First couple of days above zero in the past 2+ weeks.

She looks less sh!tty for the next hour or so. Heading out to go ice fishing. Have to fjord through some frozen marsh to get there. Should be fun!

Looks like a great time. What a crazy winter, normally people would have been ice fishing a month ago out here but the lakes still haven't iced up this year. Hopefully they ice over this week and I will have some ice fishing pictures for next weedend.

Yeah, my son and I fished Flaming Gorge a week ago last year. Plus we fished another little lake further north and west. Can’t remember it. But there were hundreds of people fishing there. It was packed.

Supposed to be 40-44 the next two days. Could ruin the ice and bring an abrupt end to ice fishing for the year. Sucks. Oh well, will just have to go north.

Visited my cousins that had just moved from Morgantown, WV, to Kinston, NC. Decided to spend the week exploring the place and getting as much off-road action as possible. Since Uwharrie is closed for the winter, we had to find local spots.

First, we drove around the property around his house. Harvest was a couple weeks ago, so we weren't too worried about destroying potatoes. View attachment 1606691

Second, we went to Carolina Beach and drove around Freeman Park. It was about 18 degrees out...so that wasn't much fun. My cousin (a photographer) did get some pretty cool shots. View attachment 1606693

I stayed out of the water, and washed it real good right after...don't worry

That point used to be mine on the weekdays in the evening for fishing. Lived in Carolina Beach from 98 through 2007. North End was free back then. Carolina Beach was a ghost town in the winter. Thems the days. I'll concede someone needed to regulate it however. It was turning into a zoo. Thanks for the pics!

Cool! Oh, yeah, it was a ghost town. But then again, most beach towns (north of Florida) are during the winter.

We only saw a hand full of people on the point. 99% of them were fellow Fido owners with 4x4’s. It’s a great dog park (if your dog doesn’t chase seagulls and run into the water, refusing to come back to shore. *cough cough*)!

LOl yeah, nothing like that wet dog smell and a sand caked pup in the rig. Glad you had fun there.

Just before last weekend; dug out after the unusual amount of snow for coastal Virginia. Drove around to check out the neighborhood then parked it before the knuckleheads with absolutely no snow driving experience hit the roads.

So this weekend there was Flash Flood Alert in the desert so I decided to go hunt the Floods
Looking at the cloud radar I gambled on the wrong part of the desert so there were no flash floods in the Judea desert they all were in the Negev. So no pics of mine.
All grown flash flood look like this

Flash flood is a magnificent phenomenon and catching the first wave is once in a lifetime and could be very dangerous if you don't know it is coming

The sky is all blue and the sun is shining the wave of water comes always in a surprise. Sometime you can can get a warning from the animals when Hyrex fled away from the creek. You should run too :)

Video 07 01 2018, 19 00 57

We had almost a disaster last week when a convoy of Army off-road vehicles (manly old and new and Israeli Storm Jeeps and one Pajero) of the school of off-road driving got the first wave unprepared.

flash floods suck there is no way i would get anywhere near that one you were showing.
i got caught up in some dangerous stuff on slick rock creek in north carolina, not a cloud in the sky and bam we were scrambling up a hill side trying to get away from the creek.

Got the Christmas tree while driving yesterday. Went home and cleaned the terminals. There was some pretty heavy corrosion from the Interstate Batteries main battery leaking. Cleaned it all up, put the battery charger on it and figured all was good.

Left the house this Morning and got the Christmas tree again. Drove a little further and it went away.

Bad ground? Alternator starting to go? Battery?

Just pulled in to interstate batteries to have them test the batteries and alternator.

Fusible links are one year old. Ground from block to battery is one year old. Suggestions?
