Just thinking about giving up all the modified trucks and just going stock 200.

I have an 80 series and an LX470. You simply cannot compare the comfort of an LX470 with an 80 series. The LX is in another class altogether. With that said, you cannot compare the wheeling capability of an LX470 (100 series) or a 200 series to that of a built 80 series. No comparison.

Are you at that point in your life where you are ready to give up that exceptional wheeling capability? I am 61 and everyday I become less willing to get stuck alone in the middle of nowhere. The chance of having a serious health issue or debilitating injury while wheeling simply goes up with time. With that said, I think I have at least another 10 years in me before I give up my 80 series .......... as long as I stay healthy. I hope that 10 years from now I am saying 10 more years. I will really miss being able to go to places where most other people cannot go.....that includes some of the most beautiful places in the country. They are difficult to get to without a really capable vehicle.

It was a very special weekend me. my young boy which was my only family partner for off roading turned 18 and went to the army

The gathering was planned to take place in a forest. In the last moment the police and Forest Autoratis didn't approve. So because we live in a crazy place the Israeli Army gave a permit to do the gathering in Fire zone, but no stands for food or off road equipment.
So we just made some Arab coffee and talked many people came to look on my FZJ80 because they never seen one before.

Crazy country, Israel. Just before I left there I saw a young Israeli Arab Muslim girl in here traditional head cover hijab posing and taking pictures in front of the old fallen Israeli tank (American M-48) from the 73 war. Monument of the disaster when Israeli forces had to fight against superiors Russian tanks and massive RPG and Sagger antitank rockets. Inside an Army ground It was so natural for here and here family. This is the safety of democracy. The IDF is here army too.

Driving 1 mile from there I met this group red beret paratrooper snipers that were busy calibrating there Riffle sights.

I’m sorry your son has to be in harms way. Hope he stays safe.

I respect your point but in NO way agree at all being in the same age group. I find myself solo in very remote area more than ever. In the past I had the same concerns but F-it I would rather die in the middle of nowhere than a hospital bed any day. I refuse to lay down and become a product of old age aka Peter pan syndrome for me. You only get one life, live it!

Life’s journey is not to arrive safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, “Holly s***…what a ride!”

Tank you kind Sir

I felt I needed spiritual support so I drove the rig trough the country side to the Sea of Galilee
Arrived at night to the resort where my wife stayed as a tour leader for pilgrims from USA she devoted here life to bring people close to Jesus and in the evening they all said a prayer for my boy, wonderful people.

Getting this back to tech...

I had a spare 91-92 washer bottle and bladder that I was planning to put in to my 93 to free up some space for other things. Went out this morning to blow more snow, clean off the 80s, and drive them each for a little bit. Hit the washer fluid button to spray the windshield on my son’s 80 and no spray. Could hear the motor.

Pop the hood and it’s empty. Pour in fluid and see it dripping out behind the front driver side wheel. Bladder has a leak.

So I pull the unit and swap in a new one. In -5F. Took me 15 minutes.

I replaced my tired interstate 24f with a Duralast AGM 24f.
Now my headlights don't fade when I hit the brakes or in syncopation with the turn signals, and oh holy snappy start, feels like a new truck.

AND, for what it's work...tried this...Minute Mod- Fixing Seatbelt Retractors
I'd rate this as a fail...I wound up the spring, and I'd say it's 5% more energetic on the suck up scale.

Prob going to have the retractor and belts rebuilt...anyone use these guys? looks like $75 a pop....

Well that's an oxy-moron if I've ever heard one.

I'm assuming you missed a couple zeroes? You're comparing completely different vehicles with completely different purposes.[/QUOTE
