What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend? (36 Viewers)

Checked the fluids, adjusted the parking brake (via star adjuster; remove wheels and brake calipers), and inspected the underside from my last wheeling trip.

Minimal carnage: a few scapes on the rear bumper, more twist to the license plate, and another dent in the exhaust :meh:.

And this is why I don’t powdercoat bumpers and sliders.

Big weekend...sanded the foil flair intake rear window dust filter wing manifold...put a sticker on it...action shots of the sticker procedure.

Got some vinyl on the hood, lubed up the steering wheel as the squeak was getting to me, and finished the cb with PA speaker install.

How did you get the curve at the end of the hood right? I tried and failed:bang:

Gone for a bit of a change, never really liked the hoops off the Bullbars, its so common here in Aus, and hides that beautiful face!
Took off the Ironaman Bar and Crub bars and installed a modified TJM bar.

I’d actually love to have bars like that on my 80. I wouldn’t rip off my flares then.

I really like the TJM T17 bumper. I have an aluminum one on my 80 that I put on it 20ish years ago. I've said a couple of times that the Slee Short Bus is the perfect bumper but I keep coming back to the T17...

Best shot from a few weekends ago down in KY. I’m bad at posting in a timely manner. This was right after I came close to a roll over.

Edit: note missing flare from another trip.

Got a seat extender from Wits End and put it on the drivers seat today. First side took a while to do but the second rail was done in 15 minutes. This kit really makes the 80 into a new truck for a tall guy, before installing the kit it was uncomfortable to drive the truck and now I could drive it all day.

Installed my new Bowfin Cruisers roof rack.

Rack is solid and kit took about two hours to install. The attention to detail in the kit, packaging, and shipping was a pleasant surprise.

Knocked out the landtank seat mod. After 10+ years of ownership, put this in the why didn't I do this before category.

Thanks @landtank for designing it, and thanks @NLXTACY for wits'end and making it available.
two of my favorite mudders right there @landtank @NLXTACY
Got to meet @RFB in person, christmas came early! Got some goodies from him and got to see his truck in person. It is real nice, I damn near wet myself when he popped the hood. The super charger is sexy!

Looks great! Thanks for taking a chance on it.

I added this little guy, flash strobe module, and hopefully reduced my risk of being rear ended a whole lot more than the $7 I spent.

Didn’t do much but work. I did however notice water in my bumper and this odd orange growth inside the bumper. So had my brother scrape it a off then scrub it all down, cover the truck and sanded to prep for paint. Three coats of John Deere Blitz black later and it’s looking really good!!
