I turn 54 today and my Land Cruiser turned 300K as I pulled into my driveway!

Happy birthday!

Found a little power boost after figuring out that it wasn't a rock stuck in the cat's heat shield but instead pieces of the cat had lodged sideways in the pipe exiting it.

After driving it home 50 miles I thought I had a nice tailwind as the throttle was actually kind of responsive at 75mph, but upon driving into town realized I had been driving into a headwind!

That John Deere black paint is something....

Had to replace front left wheel bearings. They were due to be replaced 100000 km back when I got the truck. But I ended up stretching it for a bit longer. They were KOYO made, really impressed with the performance. Installed TIMKEN in a good shape salvaged from my other 80 as a temp. solution.

The last two weekends we got out and enjoyed a little snow at Jack's Pass and explored the other side (Index-Galena Road). Found some cool camp spots, met some neat people, then washed the rig for the week. Nothing crazy, but nice to get out after a hectic couple weeks. Also tightened the steering box adjustment screw a tad to take up some slack, which made a small but nice difference.

Little fall wheeling. Rear passenger door tried to pick a fight with a rock that was a lot bigger than it, and lost.

I may have a red door for you in NC if you care. Ill have to see if pass or driver side when i get to my storage.
Might take you up in it. I am not sure I'll be able to get this one strait enough to get it to seal again.

had an exhaust leak begin on the inner down pipe to cat... needed to replace o2 sensors badly but they were rust welded on something fierce... ordered in new denso o2 sensors, bungs from a guy on ebay for 7 each heck of a deal imo... muffler shop did a bang up job cutting and welding etc.. new o2 sensors cured my check engine light being on! Its running great! We will see what mileage does today when i fill up!

Rock got you good! Would another couple inches width on your slider have kept the rock at bay? Your truck is one of my favorites.

sorry @joez its a driver side.... lemme know when you take that trail the other way ;)
keep up the fun!

my weekend was a lil less exciting here....
9011's in the low spot, new brake/tail bulbs, oil change, and pulled the batt for replacement and moving the tie down 90*

Doubtful, the rock i fell off was undercut pretty bad. Instead of pivoting and grabbing the undercut on the other side, it just lurched sideways and fell off. I suppose it could have slid further before falling, but it fell hard and slid down into it. A wider slider may have actually gotten stuck under the rock and made it worse when backing off of it.

But I do appreciate the compliment on the rig. The driver side is damaged too, but not nearly as bad. This may be the motivation to put 4 new doors and a hatch on it, and repaint it. With the cage I'm pretty committed to this body :steer:

Blame it on the spotter for not paying attention and picking their nose:rofl:
