It may just need a little lube. I occasionally have this problem and silicon spray works. I do sometimes have to pry open the latch.

I second GeoRos's fix! Good luck!

Went down with some relief effort loads to Orlando, lots of equipment moving down there. It was nuts to see fleets of utility equipment caravaning south on I95. Very nice to see how all the different industries are moving people and equipment there, even if there is a $$$$ incentive. Lots of folks from out of state (as well as some not so local locals) will be in FL and TX away from their families helping out to get things back on track for those affected.

Also saw this nice Monty in SC on the way there the night before.

I know its technically not 80 related.. unless I say I earned money for my next upgrade on the 80.

Added oil to my 93 (she's a thirsty little bugger!). Shut the hood and she won't stay latched. Awesome. Been working 16 hr days. Looks like the 92 will be getting to stretch her legs a little bit tomorrow and Friday...

Never had this issue before. Need to look it up. Is it an easy fix?

Mine does it all the time. Look down in the latch, and push the spring strait down. It will pop back into place, and you can drop the hood. Spray a little lube on it and it will be better, but seems once it starts it will just do it again here in thr Midwest.

My 93 was a Cali rig. Not a spec of rust on it. It just did it. Maybe from the overspray from when I rattle canned the hood... :hillbilly:

Received a package from down under!

I remember receiving a similar package a couple years ago. Have fun with the install! It's not terribly difficult, but lots of little steps are involved. However, that extended range is an absolute god send sometimes!
Yep, I'm planning a road trip to Prudhoe Bay next year, so it's going to be pretty critical.

Definitely looking forward to the extended range!

Is that the same stuff you use on boats, we call it star board?. That is looking very nice! I was thinking of doing mine, and using it for a giant cutting board while camping.
Yes it is and us too; Wife is very happy to have the carpet gone. Stuff is easy to work too

Where did you find a piece that big? I checked West Marine, and a couple other local shops, and largest I can find is 2'x2'.

I bought a 4x8 sheet of HDPE at local plastic shop.

Regal plastics.

I'm sure someone knows this but I don't. Opened up engine bay after running just to check to see if I saw any oil and I saw this spot way down, not exactly sure if it's oil but looks like it. What would be leaking right there or over it?

It can sense the coming winter.
