And to think you thought I might be exaggerating.

Did I mention the owner couldn't have been 40 years old? Why have i been forsaken????
Judging by the posts of your adventures and your family, I'd say you're a rich man.

Followed someone's advice...sorry I can't remember who you were...and ordered some straps off Amazon to use as hand grabs. My 80 didn't have 3rd row seats and sliding windows so it didn't come with the handles. These work great

I also do not have a third row or grab handles, in my '94 HDJ81. Are the holes for them still present? I ask because I think I might want to install a Gamviti partition…

The holes should be there, you'll have to cut the headliner to get to them though. I was able to add shoulder belts to my '91 HDJ81 as the holes were present, but it had lap belts across the whole 2nd row from factory.

Just remove the round plastic covers where the bolts would normally go. If you don't see those plastic covers you will have to cut the headliner a bit I suppose. You will see there are threads already there for you. I believe they are M6 1.0 pitch. It's all good ;-)

Really good to now, thank you.

Not this weekend, maybe not even next weekend, but soon I have to rebuild my rear axle. I think she's mad at me for not driving her for a couple of weeks...

:crybaby:

Im starting at the rear bumper of the parts runner turbo 80 and getting everything up to my specs. Was a little concerned about the truck starting life in WA and then moving to northern CA before life in AZ for the last 10 years. It is very clean underneath without it ever being washed and all the bolts have come out without any issue. Almost like an AZ truck, break the bolt loose and remove with your fingers.

Cleaned up a bunch of why did you do that wiring. Removed the tire winch that was never used since day one. :doh:Did the full on LSPV mod for maximum braking.

Full 3" exhaust but not real happy with it going under the frame rail and hanging out the ass may need to address in the future.

What did I do?

I stared at the sick girl and shook my head.

I'm coming up on 1 year from my timing chain breaking. It's 90% ready to repair, but I can't get the friggin oil pan off. It feels like there are bolts holding it on. I've tripled checked, even the hidden bolts, have used a heat gun, and it still won't budge.

Gonna crawl back under again tonight.

(a year because I got divorced, bought a house, and life got in the way. Now I need her again.)

Bought some Stratchits, looking forward to ditching my ratchet straps in the cargo area!

read this first: Lone Star MVPA - ('05 Hurricane Katrina Experience) All of it. Carefully. Then read it again.
WOW. What a read. Good thing it's a slow day at work. As someone who has sat there thinking about how I can help this really helps hit home the gravity of the situation. I would be probably the worst person to pack up my LC and drive out there. Do I want to? Hell yeah. But, if anything I would end up getting stranded or creating a bigger burden on emergency services.

I will stick to pulling people out of snow banks around the neighborhood. Eventually, I would like to hone my skills to be confident in myself and my vehicle(s) to assist with bigger emergencies. One thing I actually really enjoy is photography. I would love to get out there even just to document the chaos.

One interesting aspect to his article is the social engineering bit. That stuff fascinates me, and I would love to get better at it. Basically it's all about confidence in yourself and your story. People tend to not question you if you look and act like you know what you are doing. It can get you in places you would never dream (And can also get you in a lot of sh#$% as well!)

Does anyone have this Ram phone mount https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0066BWMNU/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I2ILPPQDV8IP34&colid=2AW5DPFOKE30R

Any negatives about it? Saw someone saying the grip can turn but that's about it. It's on sale right now

I had this one and hated it in a vehicle. It takes two hands to get your phone in/out, which sucked, and it also moved so much with the vehicle vibrations that it makes your phone screen unreadable.

Now, it holds my phone in my garage. I don't even like it there.:(
