You really should try the quad lock phone mount. I have one on my road bike and a mountain bike. It works extremely well.

have you tried getting a getting a gasket scrapper between the block and pan then tapping the pan with a rubber mallet?
man i don't know how many other boards i see you on.

Probably more than you even know!

Yeah, I have a gasket scraper and can't get it in there. I've used razor blades and can pry the front lip under the AC compressor down to get some edges in, but it acts like it's got half the bolts still in it. There is no sign of it letting loose, so I back off. I'm gonna attack again tonight and...

What did I do?

I stared at the sick girl and shook my head.

I'm coming up on 1 year from my timing chain breaking. It's 90% ready to repair, but I can't get the friggin oil pan off. It feels like there are bolts holding it on. I've tripled checked, even the hidden bolts, have used a heat gun, and it still won't budge.

Gonna crawl back under again tonight.

(a year because I got divorced, bought a house, and life got in the way. Now I need her again.)

Are you talking about the upper pan? It sounds like it. There are lots of hidden bolts, but be sure to get the bolts off off the AC compressor bracket, and the lower oil dipstick bracket. ALSO, and this is a big one.....my FSM said to remove 4 bolts from the back of the pan where it connects to the transmission housing.....turned out there were two more. Searching for images of the upper oil pan, I found TWO styles...one with 4 bolts and one with 6. This was after I smacked myself in the face while trying to pry at the reinforced portion of the pan with a crowbar. Once I truly had all the bolts off, I was able to get the pan to separate from the block by prying at the afre-mentioned reinforced pry points.

I actually still don't have it removed, because I have discovered that even with the axle dropped all the way, I still can't clear the bearing caps. I am going to have to lift the engine about 1.5".

Hope this helps!

@FloridaCruiser22 this is why I bought mine:

I have that very holder in my LX, it works perfectly! I removed the spring loaded piece and just rest my phone in the mount. Should the trail get too bumpy, I just drop that same top claw piece (without the spring) in from the top and it holds the phone solid. I setup a QI charger inside that mount as well (just some VHB tape) to charge my Samsung S7 Edge so I don't have to deal with cables. :)

Should I be concerned? My check engine light on my '93 has been off for about 250 miles...starting to freak out.

Possibly, how many days, have you check your MPG, and does it have factory lockers?

Do it!
Only 1k to ship everything on the island has rust
I have three nearly rust free Land Cruisers that might challenge that statement....but there are plenty of neglected rust buckets around here as well.

Not an 80 but saw this badass 60 series on base today..

So, somebody stole a magnetic mat that you have on a glass sunroof...? Are you sure it didn't just blow off while driving?:flipoff2:

What was the mat for? Was it to try and seal off the sunroof leaks?
