Is it me, or do I really see a lot of flex on that slider?

Definitely. We just kept watching it worrying. ARB quality and strength right there.

I saw that but googling "Combat Rack" doesnt help much unless you are looking for somewhere to store a rifle....:) Adding 80 series got me nothing of relevance either.

Wonder how bad a steel version would be? :hmm:

I seem to recall having a conversation with someone that makes Land Cruiser accessories. I was at my absolute wits end about it since this is the 7th or 8th one of these I have broken.

I have been battling a misfire at load after driving thought a terrible rainstorm. This led me to replace all the spark plugs, wires, dizzy cap, ignition coil. . . . didn't fix the problem. Then moved the air side of the equation and checked all the vacuum lines, air intake etc. Then moved to fuel delivery . . . . old school mechanic tested each cylinder firing while I power braked to cause the misfire. Something I tried to do based on his instruction but shocked the piss out of my hand. (duh). Determined it was the #3 injector. So went about replacing it and the fuel filter. When in the weeds of the job I found something I thought I prevented when I rebuilt the engine.

EGR return pipe burned through my fire protected cloth and my wire harness. It smoked through the wire leading to my #3 injector. Lots of lessons learned and hope to have it all back together tonight. Harness is now wearing 2 layers of this and this:

COOL-IT Thermo-Tec – Carbon Fiber Exhaust Insulating Wrap
COOL-IT Thermo-Tec – Adhesive Backed Heat Barrier
