Revamped my driver's switch assembly by cleaning up the contacts and doing the auto-up mod. Window is a bit faster now. Also replaced the failed relay in the wife's RX300 window switch with a modified relay to fix her window roll up issues.

Removed and resealed the intake manifold, and bent down the flaps under the valve cover to reduce oil blow by.

How bad was the build? After doing my sliders I'm not sure I feel like doing a bumper but the price is right.
Not bad. The pieces are sized to give a good root weld. Makes the grinding better, no ground through welds. Tack up is simple, start at frame horned and worth outward. Hardest part is just running all the seams, takes time. Anfs i usually weld in rubber slippers and t shirts, so i got mean arc burn and a couple holes in my legs

Thanks to J- aka @reevesci and Andrea for picking my name as the Trail Tailor Customer Loyalty winner!

Springs, shocks, castor correction, adjustable steering stabilizer, hat and stickers.

I'm going to attempt this install myself after purchasing an impact (all installs, mods, fixes have been via hand tools up to this point). While I know @GW Nugget would consider any suspension work a .5 banana job I can guarantee it's not going to be for me.

I think I've watched every damn youtube vid and read every build thread with suspension installs so I'm moderately optimistic I can do this myself. If not, I'll PM @SmokingRocks as he seems to be a magician and bribe him with fistfuls of cash. Fingers crossed.

Do you have some tall jacks? Makes it nice and easy. Support on frame, undo your shocks and swaybar, and let the axle drop!

I've found that in rare situations he'll work for beer... then again I have helped him a lot with his 80 so...

I do!

Stoked for this weekend, I'm going to make this happen.

I don't have beer but copious amounts of whiskey, and Aggie liquors is within walking distance.

Did you check your valve clearances while you were in there?

Valve clearances were done last summer, all squared away!

@mervo Slee has a great DIY for installing suspension, if you haven't already seen it.

At some point discovered that I have a hoiked up throttle cable. Read somewhere on here in my travels that high idle after driving could be due to a sticking throttle cable. So I lifted on the go pedal when it happened and sure enough, the idle dropped to normal. Another thing to add to my list.

Going to replace the shocks this weekend, ahead of schedule. The front P/S bottom bushing is shot as the shock will freely move around in the mount when I grab it. Lift isn't in the budget right now so it's regular shocks.

I have never put banana value to any jobs... haha. I paid for my 1st lift to be installed, but after watching them install it I said to my self that's it? The biggest important thing working under a rig is good jack stands, 6 ton or taller. Let loose of all link arm bolts including panhard bars so as to reset ride height. The Mr T. bottle jack comes in handy as well with installing coils. Haha.

is that a mt rainier?

It's the Mt. Bachelor. I purchased it awhile back and I feel like the current Mt. Bachelor is smaller, but I could be wrong.

Replaced the rear decklid because of the typical rusty hole they always get. Only broke 1 bolt (cheap Japanese nuts and bolts!!) The 'new' one doesn't have the rear spoiler. There goes my MPG!
And...after I took a short trip I got some strange gravel like noise...I think the water pump is on it's last leg.

I've got the ol' mismatched junkard liftgate too. I even left the paint pen markings on it from the junkyard. Also came with a cool Spanish bumper sticker. Neighbors love it!
