Big Bear club run and camping trip. 14 cruisers and 2 jeeps.
Seven hours gave me a nice tan lol.. didn't fare well with the girlfriend

Did you guys take turns pulling the Heeps?
Went out and played in the dirt. Rowher Flats OHV justvnorth of LA. Tried to find a place that required a locker, but the old girls just rolled up everything with ease. I guess "most difficult" trail designation only applies to Jeeps.

There is an area there, I remember, where I had to lock my rear.
33" Michelin street tires, did not air down, one little bump which required either to bump it... more speed, or simply lock the rear.
We were going to the summit, Can't remember exactly where along the way it is.
With 35" air down, I think there is no need to stress out.

Got up early this morning (4 am) to hit a couple of lakes over by Des Moines. Didn't catch many fish but it was another successful trip in the 93. This was as crazy as we got "off road". Officially hit 343k on the odometer this morning.
Also saw a sweet 60 Series sitting in the driveway of a neighborhood we drove by. Spun back around to chat up the guy because we saw the garage doors open. Three stall garage with a Kia something, a Nissan Frontier, and some other non LC in the garage while the 60 sits outside. I figured it was best to keep driving by rather than risk arrest for berating the guy for not having his priorities in line!

I didn't air down as I didn't want the hassle of airing up. The area you may be referring is the "look out" at the top on the hill in my last pic. The final crest was smooth rock section covered in loose sand and gravel. About a 45* angle. I got a little slip, but not enough to slow down. It was a fun place. Need to go back when I have more time and the right tools.
The jeeps only ran the easy trails and the 200 series ran a black diamond

So after taking my time on getting more important things crossed off the list (mechanical / PM's), I decided to update to a better stereo with speakers for the doors, and a powered sub today. Spent some time insulating with a barrier, both sides and the floor. No problems.
After removal of the dash pieces necessary, it became clear that the previous owner had made a mess of things. The acc/constant power wires were cut off at the factory harness, wired together and sent straight to the battery.
I guess I know why I had to turn the radio off at the stereo. Next was the home speaker wire ran to each door, and it was spliced into the factory harness at the pillars.
Decided to finish this tomorrow morning, when it's about 30 degrees cooler.

Not weekend, but 10 days. 3358 miles, home to Moab, wheeling for a week, and Moab back home. Ran Metal Masher, Hells Revenge, 7 Mile Rim, Rusty Nail, Golden Spike, Gold Bar Rim, and poison spider mesa. I now understand why people think the 80 is so underpowered, but I still pulled the Eisenhower at 50mph on 40's, even at the altitude it still moves better than people give it credit for.
Awesome trip, can't wait to go back. Loved Rusty Nail, even found what lies at the end of a rainbow on GBR afterwards.
