Any ornaments for the windshield to match the seat covers?

Oh yeah, prayer scarfs, prayer wheels, etc.

Do a google image search for Tibetan motorcycle to truly experience Tibet vehicle pimping.

Finished off the drawers with a nice cheap carpert from the big orange shop. Painted the drawers matt black and lined them with some Huskey drawer liner.
Very happy with the end result.

Performed oxidation triage on newly acquired '96 in the Dark Emerald Pearl/Moonglow combination. Hood badly glazed and bad spot on roof. Check out before and after pics. The round circles and clean portion on the "before" pics show where I tested an application of Ballistol (really!) to see whether the legends are true. The "after" pics are the result of five stages: thorough wash and dry, clay bar, rubbing compound, polish, and wax. As you can see, some was a bit too far gone to restore completely, but I'm mighty happy with the result, per the final shot.

Ok not mine, but on lucky guy is going to be as happy as me, in a couple of day's . Today I did everything I needed to get ready for the 6BT swap, this means getting ready to lift the body off the chassis, drain all the fluids, disconnect brake lines from body to frame, disconnect parking break, drive lines dropped swap bar dropped, tranny cooler removed grill is off, front bumper off, and I am sure there is more, that I did in only 7 hours, by myself but I don't recall, oh wait pulled the wiring harness from under the dash and put the harness on top of motor removed seats and alarm system loosened all the body bolt's.

You're removing the body from the frame to do the 6BT swap?

Yes, it makes thing easier, like running wiring, rear heater hoses, I know it sounds crazy, but it is faster, this way. I have worked on several and this is the 3rd one like this and it expedites the swap. You see this way you can remove the exhaust from the frame and motor, before you would have to cut it in several places, and running the rear heater lines and wiring harness is simplified. Before you would also have to unbolt the core support, also moving the steering box without body in the way, before I would not be so far along with the project, I figure I'll have a total of 23 hours to get it running, I know it sound crazy, but I am pretty confident in it .

Cool. You have build threads from previous ones?

Another weekend 2500 miles away from my 80. But since I just past 1000 messages here on Mud, thought it would be fun to start the next thousand off with some FZJ80 pride!

But it's been a pretty Land Cruiser heavy week here in the Golden State. Photo stalked a couple of nice ones I spotted. Saw this funky 70 series (I think) down in Imperial Beach.

Saw this old 40 series parked down in Point Loma across the street from my hotel. I am pretty sure a 40 will be finding its way to my home sometime in the near future!

Then Stopped for a visit at this crazy collection of rare Land Cruisers in Los Angeles. Had a nice chat with Mrs. Spector (despite the 100 degree heat!) before heading north to cooler climates.

Another weekend 2500 miles away from my 80.

I know that feeling. I had a trip to Northern Florida all planned out but now i find myself sitting on a flight to Los Angeles. I might be the only person who complains about going to California.
