What's the service life (mileage) on those tensioners?

Not sure there is any I do see anything to go wrong with the late model unit. I was just hoping a new one would make a difference then I was hoping the old style would make a difference, again no luck. I put the new tenisioner in only because I already purchased it.

Took the LC up to Grand Marais, MN along Lake Superior. This was the first real road trip I have taken it on since I bought it in August and then decided to rebuild the top end of the motor along with the front axle, all four brakes and bunch of other little stuff. The truck ran perfectly and I averaged 13 MPG, so I think my cleaned injectors and all the other work seems to have made it more efficient.

We stayed in an awesome little cabin with just a wood stove for heat and lanterns and candles for light. Great trip and the weather was perfect. 20 degrees and sunny.

Got my 80 running. I was about to have it towed to a shop but the AAA driver ended up being a former car stereo installer. Turns out my non-start issue was due to some issue involving not having all the dash buttons plugged in and/or not letting the truck sit with the battery reconnected long enough.. somehow causing the fuel pump to cut out on starting. I can diagnose it further if anyone is interested, but all I did was plug everything up, connect the batt, and let it sit awhile before starting.

After driving it around the block I got some hardware for the new rear plate mount, it's a Clarion unit with built in license plate light and backup camera. Wired it up to the tail light to come on with the headlights. Glad to have my baby running again!

Removed and replaced my heater core. Still in the process of putting the dash and components back together. I plan on replacing the head unit while I have it all apart. What a bitch this has been. Not hard at all but very tedious.

Ahh man I may have to get some tips from ya when I start my dash removal.

Continuing to search for my rear water leak. Siliconed over the rear vent gasket as well as the tabs and nut as a temporary fix. If this works I will order the replacement parts with the confidence that the leak will stop.

take lots of pics before and during the takedown. makes putting it back together easier. especially if you cant find where a certain plug goes.

Backup camera, cell phone pic doesn't do it justice it's picking up a lot more noise than is present in-person. Pretty happy with this, it's been hard seeing around the spare when making Costco runs .

I installed a new pioneer avh7800BT headunit & back up camera. So far so good, HU sounds worlds better than my older Alpine that I had in there. I still have to figure out how to get the power antenna working...But for another day I suppose. The camera is an El cheapo from amazon @ $20. We'll see how long it lasts, reviews are 50/50.

Shoehorned my M12000 into a Trail Gear bumper. Not finished with the mods to the bumper yet, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that I didn't have to trim the grill or valence for the winch to fit!

Hey bud. My new engine does the same thing. I don't like it. My old 230 k engine didn't do it at all.

Tried different cam tensioner in the hopes to eliminate start up rattle. No change but rattle definitely oil pressure related, next stop an Enigine pre lube set up.

From the left 1st 1996 OEM with 125K, next new 1996 tensioner, lastly used pre 1993 ratchet cam tenisioner (No longer available replace with new style)

I found out my roof rack hits the parking garage at the Atlanta airport and after returning from my short trip out west my LED dome lights were left on. I'm glad they dont pull much power and the roof bars are easy to remove!

It's definitely not kayaking weather here in Ohio but it was nice enough to at least move the kayaks from the ex wife's house to my new house.

I'm torn, should I start hanging with this crowd now? Y'all seem more accepting of big tires
