Drove the 80 up from GA to VA for the winter, quickly discovered after all the recent rain and no garage that there is a water leak in the rear cargo area. Removed the rear quarter window trim and replaced the old gaskets with silicone. Hoping this will fix the problem.
Oh, yeah, over break finally installed the prinsu roof rack after getting in on the first group buy back in the summer.

The dash is rather tedious to remove, I'm glad that part is done. I plan to remove all wiring and the carpeting then chop the body up into manageable pieces which I can then arrange in my front lawn to add a little texture to the land scape.

Nope. I carry a spare birf and axle for the front and a number of other spares parts I deem appropriate based on previous experiences. I should have said spare parts, tools and recovery equipment. I have every dodad Slee sells for my high lift. May never have to use them but I'd rather have them and not need them. Since I added ARB lockers and a 12K winch I haven't gotten stuck. Before that getting stuck was a recurring theme.
There's been a couple of questions on this, so here is what I used. Dorman PN 12709. Fits great, works great, but takes a stupid 11mm wrench. Another wrench I have to keep in the toolkit now

It amazes me that people just dont give a f$%^ about private or park property. Here in Louisville, we have 5 Frederick Law Olmstead parks, which I volunteer to keep beautiful for our community. But every time it snows; every a$$hat in town wants to take his heep out and destroy s***Not quite as deep as above, but we got some snow in San Diego county...
Went up to the local mountains to check out the snow with the rest of San Diego...traffic jammed up there. People were just stopped on the side of the roads jumping over private property fences and sledding around. It was like woodstock or something.
Then we went to an actual day use area and campground where you are supposed to pay a whopping $5 to use the land legally and it was completely empty. We had the place to ourselves and instead dropped a $20 to support the National Forest service!

This would be great for one of those aluminum tub fj44 projects... they bolt right on the stock frame mounts.

Continuing what I started on the weekend since I'm still off from work.
Cleaned up the motor and installed a new radiator.
Put a new battery in it and she fired right up. Then went to get some fresh fuel in it.
So now I just need to clean up the fuel system a tad. What additive would be safe to clean up residue from the bad fuel?
I need a passenger headlight, driver's side fender(this one is toast) and bumper. Then clean it up nicely and drive it for a bit. 161k on it now. Feels sooo soft and floaty compared to my Dodge 2500 with its stiff suspension.

Washed the pig. And by washed, I mean it rained.
Loaded her up to run into the hills/snow for a bit and dump off a spare set of 80 doors to @justintpryor in Reno tomorrow.

Anyone know of a reputable supplier for a new replacement carpet? Mine stinks. I have washed the life out of it, steam cleaned it and i give up. It will pain me to put it back in the truck.
