Old shoes new feet, Thanks Vin SCS. Stuck with with 16x8 instead of going to 17's. Now have to decide if I'm going to add lift.

Almost doubled the lumen output of my hatch lighting. This is very bright thankfully is all dimmable.

Light output is whiter (3100K) than pictured

Increased night visiability with red and bright enough to read by, again also dimmable. Seems to also keep the bugs to a minumin. Makes it very easy to find your 80 in a group at night.

Random passerby: "What can I get for ten dollars?!?!"

LCP: "Anyting you want! Well, maybe a couple of stickers..."

Took out the 20 year old door speakers, installed some new ones, fixed the passengers side mirror that has been broken for years, and fixed a couple door lights. Now I can watch the Florida v Georgia game

Pick up Aisin winch and Bumper couple weeks ago finally had time to install. Thank you Glenn-BJ74

Is there a trick to getting the fan off after removing the 4 nuts?! Like tapping on it with a BFH?!?! It's the original AFAIK so it was a b!tch to get the nuts loose. No rust or anything.

Pulled the radiator, fan clutch, and fan shroud in preparation of replacing the crank shaft seal and oil pump cover seal.

It was pretty greasy/oily. Scraped off some of the oil/dirt that is caked on.

Did I mention it was leaking a little bit of oil?

While I was going through my parts bin aka "The magical box of goodies" I found a complete set of hex plugs for the diffs and transfer case. Purchased July 7, 2015. A full 8 months before I picked up my 93. My 92 already has them installed. As does my son's 92. Sometimes I just chuckle at the stuff I have.

I put the overflow plug in the front diff. Thought I'd check the fluid level because I hadn't smelled enough disgustingness yet today. Yeah, the front diff is birf soup. It started gushing out the overflow. I have a diff breather extended so I'm wondering if it's plugged at the diff. I let it flow out for a solid 15 minutes.

Also took the time to clean the oil off of the fab clutch and fan blades. The blades are white!

Damn this thing had been neglected.

Went to Franconian Switzerland (Frankisch Schweiz) for a hike.

Parking is quite a bear, there, and this is off season for tourists. Ended up next to some farmer's barn.

This area was settled by man in the middle stone ages; cool little mountain coves shot through with caves. Even a fossilized skeleton of a giant cave bear near there, though we didn't have the time nor did we spend the 5 Euro to go see it.

Bizarre rock formations. As if Dr. Seuss put them there.

The village of Pottenstein.

One note: Germany doesn't have the lawsuit culture of America. The trail we walked was outright dangerous at time, and in fact, there are several memorial markers along the way where people fell to their deaths. There are plenty of opportunities on both private and public park lands to maim or kill yourself, and it's on you. Best thing about Germany, imo.

I changed the oil with Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W30. Also changed the Toyota YZZD3 oil filter and added a 90 degree oil filter adapter to make the filter sit vertical for easier, cleaner future oil changes. Installation of 90 degree oil filter adapter on 1FZFE

I also emptied the oil catch cans, replaced my PCV grommet, replaced the firewall steering shaft seal.

A good cleaning is in store for today along with brake line replacement, pads and a flush this week.

I found out that the nearest QT added non-ethanol gas. The price is (currently) the same as premium ethanol-added gas, so I filled up on Friday afternoon before the trail-riding/leaf-looking trip on Saturday. I just filled up again, at the same pump, and after adjusting the mileage for the larger tire size, I got 14.8 mpg (14.77 rounded up). Most of that was highway driving at 45 to 70 mph.
