Changed valve cover gasket in LX450 #3. Also, turned over 295K in it today.

Corbet, are you an elk hunter?

Replaced all the heater lines with silicon hoses and breeze constant tension hose clamps.

Now, what is the best way to refill the coolant system?

Details in the reconditioning and dye used for your seats.
Leather World Technologies Color: Lt Oak Semi Gloss. I have been putting different leather conditioners on the leather for a year. So, I'm not sure what worked. The dye looks good. I had a company dye my seats in my 02 100 Series and I thought I could do a better job on my 80 series. I think it is the way to go, if your seats are not too far gone. The dye on my 02 has been holding up well for 4 months or so. I'm putting on coats and letting them cure much longer than a company would do for me. The job is super easy and I'm actually surprised how well it looks. I will update in six months or so and let everyone how it holds up.

I'm bummed to see this. I remember the really bad ass drawer plans you drew up years ago. Since when do take the easy route???

I may still go that route. I was looking at a CNC router before this happened. I had to make a decision. I could get this now or I could build my own in 2-3 years. Wits' End has stalled progress for anything specifically for me. Now I seem to only design for other people. I've needed a set of drawers for a long time but going this route meant I could do a shakedown to figure out what works and what doesn't. Then design a system that is better and does everything I want instead of settling. Going the route I did is settling, but I needed something now. I will atone for my transgretions.

Well then, I suppose I will just wait for your R&D period to run it's course and purchase the Wits End drawer system in a couple of years.

I'm just giving ya a hard time.

What's crazy is I just searched up the thread I was referring to to jog my memory on the design and materials since you mentioned "CNC table". I'll a remembered was titanium hinges and it had spot for a PowerTank. I was surprised to see it was necro-bumped just last month! HOLY s*** time flies. I didn't realize that was 2008! Apparently I was on MUD a few years before I felt the need to make a profile so I could post.

Anyways, I look forward to see what you do with them.

"Necro-bumped"

Kind of reminds me of the saying

"The cobblers son wears no shoes"

My boy would agree. I'm in the shop now building barriers with him at the door asking when I can play catch :(. Neighbor kids are coming over so he should be good shortly.

22 wheels inside, though one of them was a compact donut.

Getting ready to go 'Wheelin?!?!?!?!?!?

I actually got to work on my Cruiser all day Saturday.

Was tracking down a creaking/popping/clink noise coming from the front end. I thought for sure it was my Tom Woods driveshaft, as it was only at low speeds when coming from a stop or stopping. Well, I took it off and test drove and noise was still there. Ended up checking my bearings and axle nuts, and the darn axle nut had backed off AGAIN. So I torqued down the inner nut to 50 ft-lbs, roated, backed off, several times to really get everything seated. Then I ended up torquing to 30 ft-lbs, and the outer one to 50. Noise is gone now, which is really nice.

Finally got to use my BRASS hammer for the cone washers. I've had to open up the axles probably 8 times now over the past 5 years and it was awesome to just wail on it and not worry about damaging anything. All popped off in about 5 seconds.

Also installed an attic rack like others have done. Ended up buying 2' x 4' but cut off one section with a cut off wheel. 3 hose clamps on each handle and it feels super stout. Solar panel held down with hose clamp and 2 industrial zip ties from SDGE, got 2 tarps, straps, etc up there no problem. Super stoked on that.

Some oil filters...woop.

just get him his own land cruiser and he will understand....why my daddy never played with me!

Son I love you but I love my land cruiser even more! now get to school!

@bajaphile, for the spindle nuts, I got the chromoly locking nuts from Trail-Gear. They're still sitting on a shelf, until I service my knuckles. I read good reviews on them, as far as staying torqued. Maybe others will chime in with their experience.

I recently installed them, I like 'em.

I've done exactly that. They are on the shelf waiting. I just now need to gather the rest of the parts.
