Yep, the Centric premium slotted ones.
Im not a big fan of the cross drilled rotor due to the chance of stress cracks and the fact that the slots take away enough contact surface as it is.
Surface area seems like such a negligible difference.

True. I first got the idea about it from Carrol Smith in the book "Engineer to Win", he hates extra holes in brake rotors. His books are a great read and pretty darn funny too.

I think it's funny that there is a discussion on brakes and in the middle of it is a picture of an 80 that rear ended someone. Oh the irony!

I'm not blaming the brakes at all. I'm not one of these "80s brakes suck!" people. I've never had a problem stopping. I just thought it was ironic.

Yup, could have used some bigger brakes I guess:doh:
Although that wasn't the issue, just wrong place wrong time, pretty unavoidable. Had just started through an intersection when the line of traffic just stopped. Amazingly, Honda Preludes can stop quicker than a 5000# landcruiser:meh:

Oil pump cover screws. No problem...on the engine stand. I put on the #3, gave it three wraps with a brass hammer, and cracked 'em off with a 1/4" ratchet. Could'a reused 'em but I won't.

Don't do brembo rotors! China crap!!! With an Italian name!

Is there a difference between Italians and Chinese? They both eat noodles.

Chinese has more variety of noodles!

I like centric better because I don't want to pay Italian pasta price for Chinese noodles. Plus brambo rotors don't have any particular good reputation, not for their lower end stuff at least. Centric or Napa premium rotors have great reviews and reputation. I used centric a few times and they have been solid!

Italians have too much hair on their bodies atleast and Chinese don't...well not on their heads anyway! Italians make Ferraris and the Chinese make the covers for the Ferraris......Italians use forks while the Chinese use chopsticks.....why do I have to spell everything out?...hahahaha.

OK fine. But whose noodle in longer?

I guess I'll be looking at a pair of Centrics.

just go OEM! not that much difference in price....although, I bet even the Toyota rotors are made in Thailand or china anyway! Who knows, I bet the 200 SERIES land cruiser has tons of parts made in China!...just need to buy one to dissect!
