Nothing exciting today but I replaced my PCV valve and hose along with the breather hose. Tomorrow the fun stuff happens, J front and heavy rear lift going on.

Holy crap! Whoever came up with that idea is a freaking genius!!!

Yes yes it was mostly your idea, I wanted them inside the 80 and you said rack could use them too. Now I have them in both inside and on the rack!:bounce2::bounce:

you give a mouse a cookie and now he wants a glass of milk too! :deadhorse:

I worked on the brakes today the stuff @NLXTACY told me to do regarding the rear load adjusting valve. I don't know what it's called.
I got the rear part (the one on the axle) higher by about .75" but I could not figure out how to lower the front one (attached to the body).
I think there are two bolts that hold it to the bracket, but I chickened out since the brake lines are not flexible and didn't want to get into a bigger mess than necessary.

Also flushed the brake fluid. I think I got about two cans on Coca Cola out of it.
A very interesting thing happened (I think, I still need to investigate it further), the panic braking shaking in the steering disappeared. I took it up to 50MPH a few times and performed some hard braking. It kept a straight line without any shaking.
It may also brake a little better, but it could be all subjective at this time. The Mrs has to weigh in on it.

It take a lot of work and fluid to flush 80's brakes. I used about 2 full quarts before bubbles and dirty fluid cleared up. Also activate your abs 10-15 times which will flush out the fluid trapped in there then rebleed the whole thing again.

ABS?? what is that? I had no idea we had ABS....maybe because of the 37s?

How do you activate the ABS? By transfer case Hi - Lo?

Drive half on a road and half on a dirt shoulder then slam on the brakes. The ABS will start kicking. Do that a few times and then bleed again.

Your brakes work better now because you just removed all that moisture and bubbles in the brake system.

But I don't live in Iowa. :meh:

Lol.... @Aloha Jen gets banished from posting selfies, dude moves to Hawaii.
In my defense, they technically weren't selfies....but we're pretty awesome sunset photos from the Westside that happened to include myself in a swimsuit.

Not really banished, but apparently someone must have gotten their pink panties in a bunch.

Maybe that someone doesn't like girls??? Why else would you complain?

I just looked at the Instagram account in your signature block. If that is the web-site you are talking about, I didn't see anything there that I don't see on the magazine rack in Target. There is NO reason these shots should be banned from Mud. Someone is an uptight nellie!

Which 99.9% of us liked. The 0.1% always wants to ruin it for everyone else.

Glad to see you posting, Jen. FWIW.

Jen, you can always just put up a post that says "visit my instagram account for new photos" when you post new shots. That will allow people to view them if they want to and those odd-balls that don't want to can simply skip it. The Mud owners don't have to worry about getting sued and everyone else can enjoy them.
