I rescued it from its PO. It's been a little neglected and needs lots of little things. The stickers and taillights are high priority lol. I had to run out and try the lockers out :). 97 CE with 138k miles. Let the fun (and nightmares) begin!

Nice....front and back poser shots followed up by a panoramic view shot....right out of the alohajen photo posting playbook.
Well, we don't have fresh powder snow here, but we do have powdery white sand beaches! Here's a couple of some holiday beach fun with the LC~

Not a bad view out the back. Hope everyone has a safe and happy new year!
That water is amazing. I have to get out that way some time. Thanks for the pics!

Got my 4x4labs bumper installed. That thing fit perfectly! Just need to get a light hooked up on the plate. May put it back in the factory spot but shifted over to passenger.

Took a short trip to Johnson Valley with some J#%$ buddies of mine. Got about 50' into Cakewalk/Bullfrog trail and had to back out with my tail between my legs! Land Cruisers lacking armor are not designed for that place. Pure carnage as far as the eye can see! I got seriously schooled by a couple of CJ5's and didn't have the balls to take a pic!

I think we could have done it ;)

Good to see another Iowan on here. :flipoff2:

And your license plate is crooked...

Put in new sway bar bushings and started the sway bar disconnect kit. Also put in this mod that will get almost as much use as then gas pedal.

Ls1 eh? Now you're speaking my language! My first love is drag racing, specifically my 2000 Camaro SS. The plates are from the PO, but I did straiten it out this morning when I was looking it over lol

The LS1 I put in my 76 40 was from a 2000 Camaro SS. That was back in 2002-2003. That was fun. Crazy. But fun. I won't be doing that again.

Saved this one today, picked it up in Stone Mountain GA

That's right down the road from me. Details (mileage, magic switch?, known issues, etc.).

I finally got the paint on my rig cut and buffed after years of neglect and serious oxidation. My son thought I pointed the truck black because it was so oxidized before he thought it was a dark green..

Before I bought it:

No idea on mileage, no lockers, 94. lots of issues. Ran early last year then parked, would not start in Dec 15, mechanic said needs a motor ( likely he did not want to mess with it). Body is straight, suspension and frame intact. I buy them in similar condition or as parts trucks. My wife has been driving her for two years now. Bought it for $500 with a blown motor, turns out it has a wrist pin knock.

That's pretty hardcore rock crawler trail, definitely need armor if you even thinking about attempting. With sliders and rear lockers then I think it's doable with good line.

Since it's the year end, which seems like a weekend, I went to Big Bear with the family. Only my son and I had the guts to snowboard. My wife and daughter preferred to stay cozy and sip on hot chocolate. Apparently at 29F it's way too cold for those two.

The car drove beautifully. The only thing not so good is that I now have a pronounced wobble upon breaking hard(er). I guess a rotor replacement is in the cards for me. Not looking forward to it.

Oh, and since I replaced the headlights, I can see the road now at night. No need for extra lights. I'm not sure if the other drivers have a similarly positive and cheerful attitude about my lights.

Jack it up and give it the 12-6 shake test to make sure your wheel bearings are tight before you go buying parts.

Yes it's doable with full armor, but I really have no desire to head back to Johnson Valley anytime soon. The Hammers are out of the question, but it was cool watching this gen 2 Tacoma with a V8 and SAS mashing through some pretty gnarly stuff!
