OK...those pics prompted me to find the build thread. All I can say is WOW...How did I miss this one?
'Hiking' into Bloody Mountain...Eastern Sierras, CA.
I removed the OEM roof rack. PO used long screws to hold it down which pulled up the metal around each screw. They were also so long that the sunroof was hitting them when I tried to open it. Took me a minute to figure that one out. I put some black silicone over the holes (roof is bedlined).
Removed the running boards and mud flaps-instant lift! Pulled most of the carpet out. You realize how dirty a vehicle is when you remove the carpet. I plan on installing some sound deadening material and then bedline over it. I'll probably throw some rubber floor mats on top of that to keep down the abrasion on the bedliner.
Replaced the lifts for the tailgate and hood. Ordered some 315/75r16 GY MTRs with Kevlar. I found them for a good price. Sprayed some penetrating oil on all of the body mount bolts. Just waiting for a break in the weather. I think I'm addicted...

What was the change total? So far I'm a little over $33 in change I found under the console/seats between the two land cruisers I've purchased..

I was scavenging from the 80 at the junkyard yesterday. Found $4.23 in change under the seats and in the ashtray. It's kind of amazing how much "stuff" just got left in this 80. It wasn't wrecked or anything.
I only found about $1.52. Cheap bastards... Plenty of crumbs and old french fries though. Yum!
