Did my routine safety torque check on everything including wheel bearings. Found four loose nuts.

One day down in my project. I hope like heck it's done by tomorrow evening, as the shop closes down for two days after that.

Love the on post auto craft shop. Heavy duty lifts are the bomb.

Took the opportunity to replace the radiator and put OEM belts on it.

Tell me how 20 year old hoses can just tear in two by hand, but take seemingly hundreds of pounds of effort to get off the fittings?

I haven't gotten to the PHH, yet. Just replaced radiator and belts; turns out my front end is 1/2 inch narrower than either of the last two radiators I've ordered. It has been hit in the front left, so I needed to do some creative fitting to get this radiator on.

Wasn't planning on doing much to my 80 this weekend but then this showed up. So I have to do this. One more item off the list.

You know what's wrong with the world today? Lack of creativity. Everyone just going along like a bunch of sheeple. Fight the power, man. Be creative! Find your way and do it like this. Make sure to clip off the j hooks because they hit your hood, and then take a ball pein hammer and pound big dents into the hood because it STILL hits the hood even after chopping off the J hooks. THATS the way to make it into the Murder Hall of Fame.

If you'd of put that cross bar on the edge of the battery then you wouldn't have to cut the bolts OR hammer the hood!

How so? What kind of difference do you notice?

Also, whoa. Picture overload.

Less vibration. Overall. Runs smoother and when I hit washboard there is less vibration.

So, just got back from two days of hard labor working on Marjan. I'm dead in the water because I failed to get the correct parts. What diameter are the 90 degree bend hose and short straight hose on the bottom side in the firewall? The top hose is a standard straight hose, but my "kit" failed to get the next smaller size hose and clamps.

The good news is, the PHH was the easiest to remove and install, thanks to the help of many on here.

I'm going to say it was time to replace that 20 year old sucker.

And since @Aloha Jen gets lots of likes for selfies, my wife took this to post:

Touched up the paint on the front bumper, accidentally painted the sliders to match, now trying not to do the same to the snorkel since I still have paint left

Do the snorkel and wheels. Then you need to do something with that grill bro. Gotta kill that chrome!

Had the inaugural meeting of SCOTA (SoCal Overland Trail Association) this morning. Was disgruntled about my previous association with Trail Crew and the negativity there. Sean White led the charge and it looks like something good and positive for both Overlanding and trail use issues.

I refilled the knuckles with grease via @LS1FJ40 method. It worked well but just like Andre @120mm showed his hands in the picture above, I always sabotage myself and never wear gloves. So it got a little messy.

I think I'll splurge on a grease gun from HF since they have a 25% off coupon going on this weekend.

Grease gun is a pain in the ass for filling knuckles. A cheap grease gun from HF is an even bigger pain in the ass. Instead, spend the money on nitrile gloves. Box of 50 for $9.98 at Lowe's (shameless plug for my employer).

Took 5 minutes to install my battery hold down thanks to the photo posted by @ToyotaDon.

And took 10 minutes to replace my old, rusty, blown out, steering stabilizer. It literally was doing nothing. Checking things off the maintenance list.

Installed the new Old Man Emu stabiliser from Cruiser Outfitters. Bit by bit she's riding a lot better. Could immediately tell a difference.
