Keep doing what you're doing and you'll be there soon enough...

The guys at the body shop just finished up on my rig, so my buddy ThaMeth went out with them and his badass FJ Cruiser to do a photoshoot before it gets shipped out to me in NorCal

and it came out AMAZING!!

We love our rigs, I get it, but this isn't the 100 Series forum, add more dirt.

You should see my rig! The wheels are beat to heck from the last few wheeling trips. It ain't no show horse.

Anyone that can explain to me how the battery hold down bar works? It's been a while since I had one but now that I do I cannot figure it out!

OMG! My package from Cruiser Outfitters comes tomorrow! The next step in eliminating maintenance items off my list!

Haha the j's on the hooks go down at an angle into the battery tray and hook into a hole and then the threaded part comes up, the bar goes across the battery and the nuts thread on.

As scottryana said above, you got 2 J shaped threaded rods going down in an angle. The hook goes through the holes on the side of the battery tray. The threaded ends go through the holes of the horizontal bar on the battery.

I figured this much but I just was struggling with it. Frankly, I was embarrassed to post this on here because a) I couldn't figure it out and b) I would have to admit that I have been running without a battery hold down for probably 10-12 years... Thanks.

What do you use to get the square bolt out? A crescent wrench?
An 8 point socket...often referred to as a "double square"

the night before thanksgiving....late night show wheeling at Fuji Mountain. Yeah, I kinda look like a Sasquatch in that photo, only one that was worth a damn. Got home at 2am Thanksgiving day... Forgot to post
Next pics are from last weekend.
Early morning Snow wheeling Noonday Wagon trail near the old Bohemia mines.
I stepped out of the cruiser at the end of my trail busting when I backed up and sank, all the way past the bottom of the door...about 8" or so... and I sank straight down to my nipples ladies and gents...I'm a little over 6'2, so you can imagine how deep the snow we were driving in was. I was aired down to 5psi on my 40" toyos. A great weekend. Pulled out a couple of fords...one of them I pulled out on the way in and then 10 yards down the road from where I pulled him out he was stuck again when we came back down lol...so I pulled that little blue ford out twice. Pulled out a truggy and a jeep also. And I also let both of them pull me out lol, I could have walked through nipple high snow to attach my winch and pull myself out, but I decided I would let them repay the favor lol. Ridiculously slippery and deep, the ruts were pushing the cruiser everywhere and made it quite a challenge to steer. All in all I popped a flare loose and I managed to crack yet another fuel tank, both times it's the same spot on top of the tank, not sure how the hell it happens, but I'm not the only one to experience this issue. That's 2 tanks in 4 months...this is getting expensive.

You know what's wrong with the world today? Lack of creativity. Everyone just going along like a bunch of sheeple. Fight the power, man. Be creative! Find your way and do it like this. Make sure to clip off the j hooks because they hit your hood, and then take a ball pein hammer and pound big dents into the hood because it STILL hits the hood even after chopping off the J hooks. THATS the way to make it into the Murder Hall of Fame.
