And more pics. You can see that Slee started Easter early this year with the teal and silver speckled springs. My switch setup is still missing the final switch.

I managed to re-break the external lower bracket for the passenger side headlight, which was previously glued by the PO. Now the yellow side marker is not able to stay in its place. Will have to zip tie it until my newly ordered Depos come in.

My LC was wrecked before I bought it and that sucker just keeps breaking. A stock unit won't fit any more. :(

Beautiful shots, I am still stunned everytime I see how nice that water is...

Nothing special, just heading to the village for some waffles. Don't drive it much nowadays, but still love driving the Lex, even with all her faults. Reminds me of my youth when we took my grandmothers 64 Chyrsler Saratoga out for a spin.

Give her a really nice bath.
Worked on the stereo and sound system this Friday.

Getting her ready for water pump // thermostat // PHH // Fuel filter // Front Axle rebuilt // Fan clutch. View attachment 1165613

I REAAALLLLYYY like that color. wow.

Purchased a Land Cruiser off of Craigslist. Driving home, 200 miles... rear diff exploded about 100 miles from home. Currently arranging towing for my new to me land cruiser.... Pictures when it gets here on the flatbed.

At least I know what my winter project will be.

I wonder what they did to conceal the fact it was going out? This happens so often with Landcruisers, I no longer attribute it to coincidence.

Combining 94 front clip/ECU/ECT harnesses with 97 LX body/dash harness.

Bypass the Circuit opening relay today and it'll be this scene:

Oh and.. for anyone wondering whether they should do this swap (keep 94 engine/transmission and drop a 95+ body on it)

Dont. Just... DON'T. I had absolutely no concept of the amount of work it would actually be. Figured "OBDI to OBDII and that's it?" In the immortal words of Lana Cane.. NOPE.

129k miles 1997 LX450. Mom Mall Cruiser. NO leaks or squeaks... But apparently I must have missed something in my buying inspection....

Just got off the phone with the tow company, they are sending a truck to get it within the hour... I already miss her.

Yep. Their selling it was just coincidental to the rear going out. I'm sure.

But at least you're working from a fairly clean canvas. Though I'd baseline the crap out of it, if I were you.

Disuse is harder on a vehicle than misuse.

Like @120mm said, I'm sure it was purely coincidental that it went out on your way home...

This is why I tell everyone to have AAA Gold when they go to pick up their LC. One wouldn't think it would be needed on a 200 mile trip with a low mileage mall cruiser. But it happens ALL THE TIME! AAA Gold cost about $100 and will tow you up to 200 miles to the location of your choice.

It'll be interesting to find out what happened there... And any other potential time bombs.
