This week I got a Lund 16' Sq Stern Aluminum Canoe for $300 and a set of Yakima lockable gutter rail roof racks for $20, all locally sourced. The Canoe came with life vests, paddles, car mounting kit and carrying straps, I checked the canoe over really well before purchasing and it is in very very good condition, no dents, rips, tears or decaying foam. According to the first registration it is of 1971 vintage, the same age as me. Took it out to a local lake with my youngest daughter and we had a good time.

NICE! I have been seeing a bunch of vehicles with canoes and boats up top ('tis the season)... Good buy sounds like.

Had a workday with my buddy Jim. I took apart my driver's door and lubed the window regulator and lock. He did a coolant flush on his 80. Good times had by all!

Drove mine to Marv Spector's memorial with many other LandCruiser owners and enthusiasts. It was nice day in remembrance of a good man who helped many here on Mud.

Drove my 62 to pay tribute to the land cruiser icon Marv Spector.
Sad to know he is not with us anymore. Saw some great cruisers and met up with a long time old cruiser friend.
it was also good too see George from Valley hybrids.

Pushed it up the driveway and put some cardboard under it. My power steering pump died and sprayed me in the face with fluid while I was having a friend turn the wheels so I could try to get an idea where it was leaking from. I was going to replace the pump soon, but soon wasn't this week!

Plan is to get a used pump, rebuild it, and swap it out. Hopefully I can have it done before the fishing trip I had planned with my Dad on the 16th. I'm going to get a knuckle rebuild kit from Georg at the same time; need to get that done before July. (several big trips planned for the second half of summer)

Finish-welded, painted and torqued the new front end:

Johnny that looks real good. How long before you get bored with the 4bt and decide you want a 6bt in there?
