Damn mace, you did a number on that carrier.

Was the inner race split like that when you took the third out of the housing? That carrier looks pretty trashed, but I don't see any substantial damage to the ring gear.

Yeah, I had just pulled that carrier out of the housing. The ring gear seems fine..

Thought I would pull out my a/c blower motor and check for leaves.Sure enough there was a hand full of leaves. Was wondering if these 62's came with some kind of air filter to keep the leaves from entering the blower wheel?
Then I decided to check the air flow after cleaning everything up like brand new (almost). I found all speeds working except the first low speed from being off. The other three speeds work fine, does anyone know where I should look next? Thanks...gil

Checked and cleaned up my wife's squeaking brakes

Replaced broken gauge cluster, found one around AC also broke.

Today hope to install new headlight wiring harness

Well I finished welding up my roof rack, although both my wife and I feel the wall part is a bit high, I will most likely take out 2", but not for a few weeks, I also got our solar panel installed on top along with the battery/inverter in the back. It's a 90 watt panel, with a 1800 watt back-up system were trying it out to see if it's something we'd leave mounted long term, but I have plans to add in a quick connect to easily remove from rack when not in use, (just got to find the right connector)

i love your solar panel Idea. Great job on the roof rack.

X2, I like it. Are you adding a hinge and slide to raise and lock it in position for optimal solar absorption?

I have a few panels for the trailer build one day and some new 110 Ah batteries... MAYBE ONE DAY!

Here is my solar set up. Panel slides out from under the rack. The panel can be removed and an extension cable hooked up so the panel can be put in the sun when the truck is parked in the shade.

Cleaned out and removed the thrashed cargo carpet. Then took it on a joyride to Pismo Beach and promptly rendered my efforts moot with pounds of beach sand. :)

Pulled the original (I think anyway) power steering pump and cherrypicked parts from it and the better condition used one I got Friday night, rebuilt it, cleaned up the gunk and oil buildup from the leaky old pump, changed the belts, (except for the A/C belt which is cracked, but the parts store gave me the wrong one a few months back...), re-installed rebuilt pump, and its leak free!! Still need to work on getting all the air out of the system I think though.

Got my new mirrors put on!

And then I got word back from the machine shop today that my 3FE head is good so I'll be getting some SBC valves put in and the ports cleaned up in the next week or two to get my 2FE build getting more on the way!

Replace battery cables with Fourrunners kit. So much nicer than stock. Also found out that my alternator is starting to crap out. I am going to get it rebuilt locally by Chic armature in the next few days.

I cleaned up some wiring on my Blue Sea fuse block under the hood. I've been pretty happy with this thing. Kinda wish I had gotten the larger one!
