Sure, at the input of the box, there's a lock ring:

the proper way to loosen this is with a hook spanner, but I'm told a piece of brass or aluminum and couple taps of a hammer will work if you cant fit one in there ;)

hook spanner:

Then, on either side of the input shaft, there's a set of holes, here's where you need a face spanner:

Use the spanner to rotate the collar clockwise. Don't put too much on it, it just needs snugged up. If its overly tight, you'll have trouble rotating the steering wheel.

After its snugged, tighten the locknut back up and go around the block to make sure you didn't get it too tight. If it feels good, then set the top adjustment as described in the FSM.

If you did a good job, all your slop will either be gone, or somewhere else in the front end.

This also works on saginaw boxes as well(actually where I learned about this)

Removed, cleaned and repainted oil pan; cleaned and painted rear sway bar/brackets; played her favorite music while working on the parts: Led Zeppelin.

Started working on my next OMG parts order =)

Brought it out of the garage on a nice spring day in GA. Of course it's not running. :(

but it pushes like a dream!

well I spent the day removing my rear seat and building a seat mount that uses the factor mounting holes and holds to front seats side by side. This mod along with my third row of two front seat facing rear ward gives me 6 bucket seats in my 60. I'll post some more pictures tomorrow when it's daylight.... but heres a few teaser pics.

I'm not finished with the front riser bracket, but in order to keep the seats low I removed the slider, and mounted the seat base directly to the frame. I need to add some gussets and finish welding the riser bar, but for the most part the design is done. It adds a lot more room and replaces that "flat" bench seat with more "comfortable" buckets, and allows a good amount of space per passenger on their outside side, it also makes getting in and out of the beck easier, again, no mod's to the body and I'm using original mounting locations

Disassembled the rear license light ... lightly sanded off the rust on chrome parts, now considering either a light assembly from Thailand, (saw it on eBay), or fabricating a new steel carriage to hold the light bulbs...

Will try to get photos up, need a better camera as the first gen digital cam is temperamental.

That looks really good! Are you getting a RTT?
I bought one, just waiting for it to arrive. It's why I'm looking into air bags instead of a sway bar, I need some way of controlling that weight.
