I do not, I’ve been taking a lot of notes, measurements and keeping track of money spent to post later , it has been done before with a H55
Interested in all but the receipts. Carry on!!

Curious to know what the bottom line was if you don't mind sharing.
6700$ as of right now,
3kfor the motor
2k for adapters
1k for the nv4500
700 for miscellaneous so far( expecting another 1k for intercooler, exhaust and gauges)

That’s the expensive bit right there

Fits perfectly, got the front to back worked out from the shifter tower placement, The Whole thing needs to roll clockwise from front .9 degrees to be perfect. The entire assembly measures 67.5 inches from the front of the fan to the back of the driveshaft flange. My measurements from the 2F/H42+splitcase was 65.5 inches

I thought about this years ago... But here you are doing it. So happy for you!

Just out of curiosity, at what point is it easier to put a 80 frame under it?
I only ask because I love how my 80 rides, and I love my 60, but it’s a stagecoach in comparison ( plus I’ve got that 60 series frame rot)
60 converted rides better than a 80 does. Weight, width and height... My wife says... "So if it has an 80 suspension and axles... Why doesn't mine ride like this... " She has an all original stock 97 fzj80. Several 80 guys have said similar as well after taking them for a ride in a few we've done.

You still have to cut all body mounts, tank work, cut frame and shorten, etc... From my shop it's a cheaper and a better end solution.

haha i gotcha. I pulled a h55f out of my 60 to replace it with the auto. Looking for a little bit deeper overdrive. Wish i had the money for the 6speed. Plus the auto will allow my wife to wheel the truck. She can kind of drive a manual on the street, but wont try it on the trail
Same reasons here for converting to auto one day. Your new engine looks very clean and tidy! What specs and kms did you get, and did you get it to that condition yourself?

Haha yeah she wants to drive it offroad but is scared of stalling it too much. With 4.10 gears, and the h55f, the highway cruise RPMs will be too high anyways, so all of this time and effort would be kind of wasted imo.

The motor is a LM7. Cast iron block 5.3 Vortec out of a chevrolet silverado. It was pulled by a local parts yard that specializes in LS based motors. It only had 70K miles (112,654.08 Kms) on it. Got the motor, trans, wiring harness, pedal, tac module, and MAF for 2,500 usd. It looked like it does in that picture when i got it. I have done nothing at all to clean it up. I think they rubbed some tire shine or something on the plastic cover but it doesnt look like they even bothered trying to clean it. Its suuuper clean!
